There is no shortage of Frozen news in the Disney blogosphere these days, and the Disney Cruise Line is getting in on the act by deploying the Disney Magic to Norway next summer.

With the Maelstrom water ride at Epcot being converted to a Frozen ride, guests will soon be able to see their favorite characters from the beloved film once the new attraction opens. Until then, these upcoming cruises will surely satisfy those with Norwegian wanderlust.

While Arendelle is not a port of call, Oslo, Kristiansand, Stavanger, Alesund, Geiranger, Molde, Olden and Bergen are, and on the sailings, you’ll likely learn how to accurately pronounce said destinations as well. Guests will be able to discover the land that inspired and set the scene for Frozen, its famed fjords and glaciers included.

What remains to be seen is whether or not Anna and Elsa will be along for the ride, but it’s a very good bet they will be. The princess and queen (seen in the header image in Alaska) have already been touring onboard select 7-night and longer voyages since earlier this year. If nothing else, expect Frozen to be screened onboard, maybe even on Funnel Vision around the pool while sailing through the fjords.

Another good bet: a Marvel presence of some kind with Thor. Steeped in Norse mythology, it would stand for reason that the cruise line would want to feature this film series onboard, besides just an iconic hammer on display at the Avengers Academy. Perhaps Thor himself and his mischievous adopted brother Loki will show up alongside sisters Anna and Elsa. The Disney Cruise Line is family-friendly after all.
