UPDATED! Muppets Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Opens May 26: Time to Ride the Music!

Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets will officially debut at Walt Disney World Resort on May 26.

The popular indoor roller coaster at Disney’s Hollywood Studios has been reimagined with a playlist of covers by The Electric Mayhem—Dr. Teeth, Animal, Floyd, Janice, Zoot, and Lips—but first, the band needs to get to their big gig.

New Look

The iconic Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster guitar marquee is also getting The Electric Mayhem treatment with a new psychedelic design inspired by the classic Muppet’s car paint job. The piano motif at the base will also feature a single golden key as a nod to the band’s leader.

New rock poster-style photo ops in the ride’s exterior queue showcase the band’s career.

Guests will also want to be on the lookout for celebrity cameos woven throughout the experience (from the queue all the way through the merch shop), featuring:

Welcome (Back) to G-Force Records

G-Force Records is opening its doors once again, but fans of the attraction will notice the place looks a little different, as the label has recently come under new management: Scooter’s uncle, real estate tycoon and owner of the Muppet Theatre, J.P. Grosse.

Thanks to VIP passes, guests are welcomed into the recording studio, where The Electric Mayhem is rehearsing for their big concert. The recording studio also features the first-ever Audio-Animatronics figure of Scooter, who’s joined by a team of penguin audio engineers. 

But the band is so busy rehearsing they almost forget their have to get to their show…. And of course, it’s all the way across town. Thankfully, the newest technological advancements from Muppets Labs—a super-powered vehicle known as the Lengthy Immediate Motion Object (L.I.M.O.)—is parking in the alley just behind Studio C.

The Set List Is Locked

Since music takes center stage on Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, The Electric Mayhem teamed up with some of rock’s biggest names for a new set list:

What’s on the Menu at FØØD by Swedish Chef

Wocka Wocking Nachos made with corn chips, queso blanco, tomatoes, and guacamole.

Churro Drumstick featuring a twisted churro tossed in mixed berry sugar and topped with a raspberry sauce and sprinkles (served with a side of chocolate sauce).

Mayhem Soft-Serve Float with Frozen Fanta Blue Raspberry and vanilla soft-serve topped with pink cotton candy.

Pink Le-moi-nade (inspired by Miss Piggy) combines Minute Maid Premium Lemonade with guava—and a sprinkle of pink shimmer mixed in.

Pond Water Limeade (inspired by Kermit the Frog) brings together Minute Maid Premium Limeade, green apple, and fruit juice-filled pearls.

Passholder Previews

Passholder Previews will take place on May 21, 22, and 23. Passholders need to make a park reservation for Hollywood Studios for the opportunity to request to join the virtual queue at 7 a.m. on that day.

There will be 3 opportunities to join each day of previews at the following distribution times: 

• 7 a.m. – Available to Passholders with a park reservation for Hollywood Studios
• 11 a.m. – Available to Passholders with a park reservation for any park (passholders must enter the park where they have a reservation before entering Hollywood Studios)
• 3 p.m. – Available to any Passholder with valid admission (no reservation is required)

During previews, Passholders will receive complimentary downloads of their attraction photos.

The Muppets at Hollywood Studios

The E-ticket attraction is not the fist appearance by the Muppets at Hollywood Studios. Until June 8, 2025, they were hanging out across the park in Muppets Courtyard, home of the beloved Muppet•Vision 3D attraction.

That area of the park was closed to make way for Monstropolis, the new Monsters Inc.-themed land featuring Disney’s first suspended coaster.
