The west end of Downtown Disney just keeps growing—and it’s gotten a little more luxurious. On the evening of July 24th, a new bath and body boutique, Nectar Life, quietly opened its doors, offering custom skincare, whimsical soaps, and a serious commitment to self-care.

Let’s take a look at what to expect inside—and what else is now open nearby.

What Is Nectar Life? A Bath and Body Boutique with a Twist
Nectar Life isn’t your average soap shop. The brand focuses on small-batch personal care products made with clean ingredients and manufactured in the U.S. But what really sets it apart is the presentation—most of the products look like they belong in a bakery display case. Think cupcakes, milkshakes, and candy… all made of soap. (Tempting, but don’t eat them.)

This new Downtown Disney location marks a major milestone for the company as its most interactive store yet. From bath bombs to body butters, it’s all about sensory experiences and customization. Guests can create their own fragrance blends, personalize skincare items, and even build “milkshake bath soaks.” If you’ve ever dreamed of bottling your signature scent and taking it home, this may become your new happy place.

Where You Can Find Nectar Life in Downtown Disney
You’ll find the new shop on the west end of Downtown Disney, right next to two other recent additions: Avengers Reserve and D-Lander. This side of the district has seen a major glow-up over the past few months, with Disney clearly targeting fans of niche shopping, collectibles, upscale merch, and unique dining.

With Nectar Life now part of the mix, Downtown Disney’s west end continues its transformation into an Instagram-ready hotspot of interactive retail and destination dining.

Custom Soaps, Bath Bombs, and Build-Your-Own Scents

What makes Nectar Life stand out is its interactivity.

The new boutique features the brand’s first full product customization bar, including:
- A fragrance blending station
- Personalized shea body butters and roll-ons
- “Milkshake” bath soaks (yes, really)
- A self-serve Soap Mini Bar with tiny, sculpted soaps in a variety of shapes and scents

According to CEO and co-founder Tom Taicher, the store is a “dream come true” for the brand—and a way to provide clean, creative products in a fun, hands-on environment.

Downtown Disney’s Recent Retail & Dining Revamp
Nectar Life joins a growing list of new shops and eateries as Downtown Disney undergoes a major refresh—especially on its west side. In addition to Avengers Reserve, D-Lander, Wonderful World of Sweets, and Storyland Boutique, the district has welcomed some big-name dining options as well.
Din Tai Fung, the beloved dumpling house, is now open and drawing major crowds. Nearby, the Parkside Market food hall is serving up a mix of quick bites with big flavor. It’s all part of Disney’s effort to make Downtown Disney a must-visit destination, park ticket or not.
What’s Next for Downtown Disney?
More changes are still on the way. Next to Nectar, Earl of Sandwich is making yet another return—this time with a sit-down tavern concept upstairs and a sandwich shop downstairs. Nearby, the former Tortilla Jo’s space is being reimagined into two new restaurants: one specializing in BBQ and the other in steak. And let’s not forget the long-delayed Porto’s, which is just about to break ground in the space currently occupied by Earl of Sandwich near the front gate of Disney California Adventure.

Meanwhile, over in the former ESPN Zone building, something new is on the way… Lululemon, Funko, and a boba drink place called Bopo Go are all under construction at the same time.
Let’s Hear From You
Downtown Disney is changing fast, with boutique shopping, elevated dining, and interactive experiences now taking center stage. So, what do you think of Nectar Life and its bath-time creations? Are you excited to build your own bath bomb… or just here for the dumplings?
