We have some updates on a few of the ongoing projects at Disneyland – plus two new ones – to help you navigate upcoming visits for the next few weeks (or more).

As you’ve read in our last several Monday updates (and have certainly noticed if you’ve been to Disneyland Park recently), the bridge/path connecting New Orleans Square to Galaxy’s Edge has been a frustrating dead end.

Thankfully, that route will reopen on Monday, Aug. 19, along with Davy Crockett’s Explorer Canoes and the restrooms beneath Hungry Bear restaurant (the restaurant remains closed as it’s being reimagined as Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree).

As we reported in our D23 coverage, Bayou Country (AKA Critter Country) will reopen with the debut of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure on Nov. 15.

Following its opening at Walt Disney World earlier this year, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will open November 15, 2024 at Disneyland park in the newly renamed Bayou Country.

In other refurbishment news, Jungle Cruise will be closed for routine maintenance beginning Sept. 16 for about three weeks. On the same date, “it’s a small world” will close for its annual transformation into “it’s a small world” Holiday, which will reopen on Nov. 15.

The month-long closure will ensure the attraction is appropriately “merry and bright” for the park’s holiday celebration (plus maintain the ride system and perform general maintenance); however, a second multi-week closure will begin on Jan. 21 to enhance the classic attraction’s show lighting and effects.

“We know how much our guests love experiencing “it’s a small world” Holiday so it was important for us to do this work in two separate phases to give guests the opportunity to enjoy this attraction during the holiday season,” Disneyland officials told MiceChat. “We look forward to setting sail again later in spring 2025.”

We’ll have more details in our Monday update, plus news about everything happening at the resort.
