Fantasy Springs debuted at Tokyo DisneySea on June 6, 2024, with three immersive areas themed to iconic Disney fantasy-based movies. After the initial announcement of DisneySea’s eighth port of call in 2018 (then expected to open in 2022), Disney enticed fans for six long years with concept art as they anxiously awaited its unveiling… and it was well worth the wait!
UPDATED 9/10/24 with Fantasy Springs Hotel Guide

What Is Fantasy Springs?
Fantasy Springs is the Tokyo DisneySea’s biggest land expansion ever, joining Tokyo DisneySea’s other seven ports: Mediterranean Harbor (a romantic Southern European port town), American Waterfront (the nostalgia-filled American harbors of New York and Cape Cod), Port Discovery (a futuristic marina located across the horizons of time), Lost River Delta (the ruins of an ancient civilization in the Central American jungles), Arabian Coast (the world of The Arabian Nights filled with magic and mystery), Mermaid Lagoon (an undersea kingdom home to Ariel, the little mermaid, and her friends), and Mysterious Island (the eccentric genius Captain Nemo’s secret base). It’s an amazing lineup of adventures.
The Fantasy Springs area is nestled between the Arabian Coast and Lost River Delta ports (at the far top of the map below).

The new land represents “magical springs that lead to worlds of Disney fantasy,” and immerses guests in the magical worlds of “Frozen,” “Tangled,” and “Peter Pan.” Think of it as three mini lands that together make a gorgeous larger land.

And just outside the land is a stunning new hotel. We’ll start there and then work our way into the land itself.
Where To Stay In Fantasy Springs? The Fantasy Springs Hotel Of Course!
Located next to Fantasy Springs, the brand-new Fantasy Springs Hotel features “interiors inspired by Disney Princesses and flora and fauna with motifs themed to the port.” Hotel guests with park tickets can access Tokyo DisneySea through the Fantasy Springs Hotel.

Fantasy Springs Hotel boasts two buildings and offers deluxe and luxury guest rooms. Speaking of which, new details recently emerged about the hotel’s accommodations and dining options.

Fantasy Chateau: Deluxe Rooms
The Fantasy Chateau brings the outdoors in, offering deluxe accommodations with design elements inspired by nature and wildlife. Featuring Disney characters like Bambi and Rapunzel, these rooms provide a serene, garden-like ambiance.

Grand Chateau: Luxury Rooms
For guests looking to step up their stay, the Grand Chateau offers luxury rooms that include a balcony or terrace, plus a view of Fantasy Springs, while their design style exudes an elegant and sophisticated feel fit for royalty.

In addition to all the foodie finds within the land, the “park-integrated” hotel offers three additional dining offerings.
Fantasy Springs Restaurant
A more casual option, Fantasy Springs Restaurant features buffet-style dining for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Conveniently located on the first floor of the Fantasy Chateau, its interior pays tribute to Disney animation, showcasing beloved films like “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” “Tangled,” and “Sleeping Beauty.”

Grand Paradis Lounge
On the second floor of the grand lobby, guests will find the Grand Paradis Lounge, which features an array of cocktails and sweet treats like dessert sets and parfaits. Situated between Fantasy Chateau and Grand Chateau, it offers spectacular views of Fantasy Springs.

La Libellule
La Libellule is unique because it’s Tokyo Disney Resort’s first restaurant to offer French cuisine. Located on the third floor of the Grand Chateau, this table-service restaurant boasts fine dining in an elegant environment for breakfast and dinner.

The Themed Areas of Fantasy Springs
Instead of a single theme, Fantasy Springs cobbles together three whimsical worlds. Let’s take a look…
Frozen Kingdom
Imagine visiting the Kingdom of Arendelle as Elsa leans into her powers after the final events of “Frozen.” Take a look around and be fully enveloped by scenery that places guests right in the movie, inviting them to embark on a magical ride, “for the first time in forever.”

Rapunzel’s Forest
Fans of “Tangled” will be delighted to enter the scenic world of a beloved Disney Princess when they arrive at Rapunzel’s Forest. While we’ve seen nods to “Tangled” at Disney Parks, Fantasy Springs marks the first time the movie has its very own attraction (followed soon by Raiponce Tangled Spin at Disneyland Paris Resort).

Peter Pan’s Never Land
Peter Pan has a cult following so we’re definitely not the only ones who are super excited about this immersive land! Tokyo DisneySea invites guests to, “join the fun-loving and adventurous Lost Kids on an epic adventure in Peter Pan’s Never Land, from Captain Hook’s pirate ship to Pixie Hollow.” Fans of the film will be thrilled to find, not one, but two new attractions in the adventurous, new area.

Even with some scaffolding still in place, we could tell this would be a spectacular experience!
What To Ride in Fantasy Springs: Four Themed Attractions
Each of the areas has a ride (or two!) themed to the stories and characters of the movies they represent.
Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey
The family-friendly Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey boat ride provides a heartwarming glimpse into the “Frozen” story from a sisterly perspective. Once aboard, guests will visit troll leader Grand Pabbie before being whisked through beloved movie scenes from Anna and Elsa’s childhood memories to the discovery of true love.

The ride culminates with the iconic moment when Anna turns into ice to save her sister. Fans of the movie will enjoy hearing songs like “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?,” “For the First Time in Forever,” “Love Is an Open Door,” and of course, “Let It Go.”

SPOILER ALERT! Here’s an inside look at the enchanting attraction and its beautiful queue:

Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival
Similar to Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey, Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival is a boat (aka gondola) attraction and we must say, it looks spectacular! Fans are whisked through recognizable locations and moments from the movie, including Rapunzel’s Tower (and her escape from it).

In true Disney style, the journey ends happily ever after at the Lantern Festival where the dark ride comes to life with glowing lanterns. Songs from the movie include fan favorites “When Will My Life Begin,” and “I See the Light.” From the images we’ve seen, it looks like Tokyo DisneySea really did the movie justice with this attraction.

Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure
On a third epic boat ride, guests will don 3D glasses and embark on an adventure to rescue John from Captain Hook and his scurvy pirate scum. “You can fly” as your boat “soar(s) into the sky” – and with Peter Pan and Tinker Bell beside you, the quest cannot fail!

Additional characters guests encounter include the Lost Kids, Wendy, Michael, and even the mermaids. Keep a lookout for the Jolly Roger as well.

Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies
In Pixie Hollow, another enchanting attraction awaits: Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies. After being shrunk to sprite-size, guests journey through the fairy valley, encountering seasonal changes along the way.

Guests of all ages will enjoy helping Tink deliver her packages in a world filled with beautiful, floral scenery and quirky touches.

What To Eat in Fantasy Springs: Five Foodie Offerings
What could be better than grabbing a bite in an immersive environment celebrating beloved Disney animated films? And check out an exclusive, new popcorn flavor!
Royal Banquet of Arendelle
The castle gates are open, and Anna and Elsa are inviting everyone to come in and dine. Surrounded by books and artwork celebrating “Frozen” characters (as well as the spot where Elsa was crowned) guests will be treated to offerings like “Arendelle’s Royal Set.”

Oaken’s OK Foods
The lovable Oaken of Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post and Sauna is welcoming visitors to his humble abode to sample his Scandinavian offerings (be sure to try his signature “Oaken’s Yoo-Hoo Bread” while you’re there).

The Snuggly Duckling
Tokyo DisneySea invites guests to “dine among the happily-ever-after story of the tavern’s ruffians and paintings created by Rapunzel herself.” Surrounded by nature, this tavern is the perfect hangout for “Tangled” fans.

Diners can sample savory and sweet offerings such as the “Duckling’s Dream Cheeseburger” and the “Sweet Ever After Dessert” (cleverly served in a frying pan in a nod to the film).
Lookout Cookout
Believe it or not, this eatery was constructed from washed-up Never Land shipwreck parts! The inside of the Lost Kids’ hideout is littered with random items like pajamas and hammocks.

Menu highlights include the Lost Kids’ Snack Box, which features chicken tenders, seaweed fritters, banana chips, and shrimp chips. Fans will particularly enjoy the “Pixie Dust Soda (Kiwi)” topped with a star that dissolves into a silver sparkling, “pixie dust.”
Popcorn Wagon
A Disneyland classic, we’re happy to report there will be a popcorn wagon in Tokyo DisneySea’s new land, although this is not your regular munchable, as fans will be treated to a brand-new flavor unique to Fantasy Springs – roast beef! Now, what do you think of that?

Where To Shop in Fantasy Springs: Two Spots To Visit
Fantasy Springs Gifts
Surrounded by design elements like the springs, nature, and wildlife, this shop on the lower level of the Fantasy Springs Hotel features Fantasy Springs merch collections plus items with “Frozen,” “Tangled,” and “Peter Pan” themes.

Springs Treasures
Keep an eye out for Springs Treasures, a wagon-style kiosk/cart along the path from the Arabian Coast to Fantasy Springs that offers a variety of merchandise.
The Fantasy Springs / Disneyland Resort Connection
Fans of Tokyo DisneySea are undoubtedly excited about the premiere of Fantasy Springs, but fans of the original Disneyland are too. Those who have been following DisneylandForward are hoping something similar will arrive at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim in the years to come.
Even though it’s still just a potential concept (and no specific projects have been announced), in a previous article, Dusty Sage shared:
Tokyo Disneyland’s upcoming Fantasy Springs has been used as an example of a mixed-use development that could be coming to the West Side expansion of Disneyland Resort.
You can see what looks like a version of Fantasy Springs in the DisneylandForward concept art below (look for the Neverland lagoon at left):
