Donald Duck turns 90 next month, but we’re starting the festivities early with a look at special merchandise created for the foul-tempered fowl’s milestone birthday. There are tons of items available at Disney Parks, but even if you don’t have a visit planned, you can still find merchandise online and even at your local mall.
Donald Duck 90th Merchandise at Disneyland and Disney Store
Last week, a boatload of new Donald Duck merchandise landed at the Disneyland Resort and online at the Disney Store, including at World of Disney in Downtown Disney, where the collection took up one of the giant store’s two entrances.
The Spirit Jersey created for the occasion is one of the more detailed styles the company has made for Disney, with images of Donald on the front and bottom of the back plus “Disneyland Resort” across the shoulders (the Disney Store version replaces the location with Donald’s name). A depiction of the character’s visual evolution also runs down the left sleeve.
The Loungefly mini backpack in this display has an especially clever feature: Donald’s face turns red when exposed to the sun’s rays, giving the appearance that he is losing his temper. Next to the backpack are two hoodies, a zip-up style with an all-over print and a pullover style with Donald’s different looks over the years.
This “Quaketeer Club” wallet is a clever play on the Mouseketeers of the Mickey Mouse Club.
The many faces of Donald Duck (or two of them, anyway) are highlighted in this themed ear headband. His tail sticks out from the number “90” that rests at the center of the headband’s fluffy bow.
This pompom-topped beret has Donald’s signature embroidered on one of the sides and makes for a charming Disneybound accessory.
Donald’s sailor cap serves as a silicone lip for this mug, helping keep your beverage as piping hot as the duck’s temper.
Donald fans can also dive into his myriad of emotions with this 1000-piece puzzle.
The collection also includes plenty of shirts in different styles, including a football jersey, a pullover sweatshirt, a button-up woven shirt, and a selection of graphic tees.
This decorative figure, taken from Donald’s debut appearance in “The Wise Little Hen,” is perfect for those who lean towards the retro aesthetic.
And this limited-release trading pin is not only a worthwhile collectible for pin traders but also for Donald Duck fans looking for smaller keepsakes.
Even the popular Disney Munchlings series is participating in the fun with this Donald Duck Popcorn Munchlings plush. This medium-sized plush is part of the current Disney Munchlings Sensational Snacks collection.
The Donald Duck Popcorn Munchling also takes other forms around Disney Parks. Walt Disney World’s The Ganachery at Disney Springs sells a themed chocolate piñata, and both Walt Disney World and Disneyland offer a bucket styled after the character at various locations detailed in the following Instagram post from Disney Eats:

Here’s another look at the Donald Duck Munchlings bucket, taken at one of the popcorn carts in Disneyland. You can also buy it at Refreshment Corner on Disneyland’s Main Street, USA, where the novelty item comes with Spicy Firefly Chips (mobile order is offered at this location).
Donald Duck 90th Merchandise from BoxLunch
Fitting for a sailor suit-wearing character, much of BoxLunch‘s merchandise themed to a beach party bash would fit right into any Disney fan’s summer wardrobe.
The apparel definitely suits warmer weather months and all-over prints reminiscent of Hawaiian shirts made an appearance on a button-up shirt and a romper.
Our Universe created this sweater vest exclusively for BoxLunch, and it’s a great layering option for when the evening chill rolls in.
Donald’s precocious nephews, Huey, Dewie, and Louie indulge in some icy treats on this kid’s woven shirt.
“Donald Duck” is written out in Japanese katakana at the top of this graphic tee, with the character himself making an appearance below it.
The angry Donald Duck patch on the front of this baseball cap has a fuzzy chenille texture on his “feathers.” He takes a similar irate pose on this graphic tee.
A mini backpack designed by BoxLunch, shows Donald’s more relaxed side, which we don’t usually see on merchandise (or anywhere else). The beach scene matches well with the other themed merchandise.
As for other accessories, this Loungefly mini backpack and Our Universe wallet are available exclusively through the retailer.
BoxLunch’s extensive merchandise offerings include items for the home as well, such as a clever hanging wall sign and a glass cup with a lid and straw.
Donald Duck 90th Merchandise from Her Universe
Beyond the BoxLunch-exclusive sweater vest and wallet (under Her Universe‘s Our Universe label), the designer offers other fashionable pieces created to honor Donald Duck, including a girl’s cardigan and denim sailor shorts, which can be paired with a striped shirt for a fun nautical look.
Donald Duck 90th Merchandise from Loungefly
Loungefly designed a variety of accessories for Donald Duck’s 90th. These items are currently available for pre-order and are expected to ship on June 1, 2024.
First up is this crossbody bag shaped like a life preserver. While its shape is indeed eye-catching, the accessory’s most remarkable feature is the lenticular art at the front of the bag. At one angle, you’ll see Donald as he is drawn today, and at another, Donald is shown how he appeared in his debut short “The Wise Little Hen.”
The life-preserver-framed lenticular Donald art hides the zippered front compartment on this mini backpack, and a design similar to the crossbody bag hides behind the backpack.
For this zip-around wallet, the lenticular image is purely decorative. The interior sports slots for holding cards, a small zippered pouch, and a clear ID slot.
The sailor hat charm dangling from this lanyard and its attached cardholder add an extra bit of flair to the accessory.
Don’t worry, pin collectors this three-inch enamel pin is packaged in a collector’s box.
This crossbody bag takes on a more brightly-colored look than the previous items. It is made of nylon and styled after Donald’s sailor outfit (plus his adorable ducktail).
Donald Duck 90th Merchandise from Funko
Among Funko‘s contributions are several of Pop! figures of our number one duck in various poses: 1938, angry, dapper, and “heart eyes.”
Plush versions of these styles (1938, angry, dapper, and “heart eyes”) are another cute and collectible choice.
For hands-free Funko fun, a keychain with a smaller version of the 1938 style is an option.
