UPDATED 3/28/25 with this year’s characters, food, drinks, and novelty items (see below)

New to Season of the Force
At long last, legendary Jedi Master Luke Skywalker made his first appearance in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. We caught up with him and R2-D2 on the first day of Season of the Force.

We hope Luke’s limited time presence opens the door for even more OG Star Wars characters to visit Batuu, unlocking the land’s very specific (and we think unnecessarily strict) timeline.

Joining other familiar encounters in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Calif. during Season of the Force in 2025, for the first time, a shadowy visitor appears on Batuu for a limited time: the legendary Luke Skywalker. (Christian Thompson/Disneyland Resort)
Boba Fett and Vi Moradi were out and about today for the event’s kickoff!
A new nightly projection show called Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga will also make its debut with Season of the Force on March 28, but will continue beyond the seasonal event.

During the new show, the spires of Batuu near the Millennium Falcon will be transformed with projection effects presenting “the legendary story of the Skywalkers” accompanied by iconic musical themes from the films of the Skywalker saga.

Also presented on select nights will be the popular Fire of the Rising Moons, which honors heroes and legends of the galaxy while the skies over Batuu light up with fireworks accompanied by selections from John Williams’ Star Wars film scores. Fire of the Rising Moons can be experienced from the Black Spire Spaceport, the TIE Echelon docking platform, and the speeder garage.

Check Disneyland.com or the Disneyland app for showtimes.
Season of the Force Ride Overlays
Each year, Space Mountain transforms into Hyperspace Mountain, a high-speed Star Wars-themed adventure where riders dodge the crossfire during a battle between Rebel X-wing starfighters and Imperial TIE fighters.

Star Tours – The Adventures Continue features more than 250 storyline variations, including a visit to the planet Seatos from “Ahsoka.” In addition, urgent transmissions from Ahsoka Tano, Cassian Andor, Din Djarin and Grogu may be part of your adventure.

Season of the Force is also the perfect time to fly the Millennium Falcon on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and join the Resistance against the First Order on Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.

Grand Californian Hotel’s Season of the Force Creation
Each year, Disney pastry chefs create a Star Wars-themed culinary masterpiece, which is on display in the lobby at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Last year, The Millennium Falcon was brought to life with hundreds of pounds of sugar, chocolate, and more.

This year, the Death Star takes center stage, featuring ingredients of cosmic proportions that took the pastry team 240 hours to complete!
Last year, Star Wars fans were also treated to appearances by adorable BD-X droids in Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge. Hopefully, these little guys will make their way back to Batuu for the 2025 celebration.
Here’s a video of their very first appearance for Season of the Force 2024:
Beyond the Season of the Force, Galaxy’s Edge is a treasure trove of experiences. Build your own lightsaber at Savi’s Workshop, assemble a droid at the Droid Depot, or relax with out-of-this-world drinks at Oga’s Cantina (reservations required but virtual wait list spots are sometimes available).
