EPCOT’s 2024 International Flower and Garden Festival (SEE OUR FULL COVERAGE) is in full bloom, bringing beautiful topiaries and tasty treats to the park from now through May 27. Each spring, EPCOT transforms into a stunning garden filled with flowers, entertainment, and food you’ll only find in the park for a limited time, so it’s easy to feel pressured to take it all in and see everything this floral festival has to offer.

Garden Graze, HOT TIP: EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival Garden Graze!

Luckily, there’s a simple way to sample some of the best foods in the festival, and it’ll earn you a free prize at the end. The EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival Garden Graze lets guests blaze their own culinary trail through the festival, while still offering a bit of organization amidst the chaos of wanting to try as much festival food as possible. The best part? Beyond the cost of each food item, there’s no additional cost to participate.

What is the EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival Garden Graze?

It’s fairly simple to participate in the Garden Graze. As someone who’s been attending this springtime festival at EPCOT for years, it’s one of my favorite ways to experience the foods from the festival without having to put much brain power into deciding which items to try. I visited the 2024 EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival on opening day and chose to check out the festival’s culinary offerings by participating in the Garden Graze.

The Garden Graze is free to participate in (beyond the food cost). To do it, simply pick up a festival passport at the EPCOT entrance or from food kiosks throughout the park. On the back page of the booklet, you’ll find a listing of all the menu items that are part of the Garden Graze. From grilled street corn to a fruity parfait, these menu items are all plant-based: It is a garden festival, after all.

There are eight possible foods to count toward the Garden Graze, but you only need to purchase five to redeem your passport for a prize. Choose which five food items sound best to you and make your way through the festival, stopping at the appropriate kiosks to order your eligible menu item and getting your passport stamped when you place your order.

Once you’ve gathered five stamps, head to the entrance of the World Showcase and find the Pineapple Promenade food kiosk. There, you’ll show your completed passport and receive a free prize for your delicious efforts.

Plant-based Buffalo Chicken Tender Poutine

I decided to keep my Garden Graze experience within a walk around the World Showcase, opting for the poutine, tres leches cake, fruit parfait, meatball, and potato pancakes. Festival poutines are always among my favorite dishes, and the buffalo poutine made with plant-based chicken tenders did not disappoint, although the dish was significantly pricier than the other items on the list.

Garden Graze Seasonal Fruit Parfait

One of my favorite parts of participating in a scavenger-hunt style food crawl like this at EPCOT is the chance to try dishes I’d normally not order. The seasonal fruit parfait, a mango Dole whip with sweet chili sauce on top, was my favorite thing I tried all day, and is probably something I’d have passed by while walking through the park’s Outpost area.

Garden Graze Impossible Farmhouse Meatball

The other item I could not stop eating was the Impossible Farmhouse Meatball, a flavorful meatless dish served with savory flatbread, a creamy sauce, and really tasty pickled peppers and onions. Both are things I wouldn’t have sought out on my own, but would definitely order again the next time I visit this year’s Flower and Garden Festival.

Even with that $10 poutine, it cost me less than $50 to complete the Garden Graze, and I was able to snag a free treat when all was said and done.

The EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival Garden Graze prize!

After completing the Garden Graze, guests visit the Pineapple Promenade food kiosk to redeem their stamped passport for a prize. This year’s prize—a Dole whip in a souvenir cup with a cute take-home packet of wildflower seeds on the side—felt like three prizes in one, making it well worth completing the food stroll.

In addition to an adorable reusable cup printed with flowers and the Garden Graze logo, I received a packet of wildflower seeds to take home and plant. But the real star of any Disney day is always the Dole whip. The prize for completing the 2024 EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival Garden Graze was a lime Dole Whip, mixed with lemonade and mango smoothie. The flavor was citrusy and fresh, and the treat was a perfect way to end my afternoon at the festival.

An additional perk of participating in this year’s Garden Graze? The plant-based food tour doesn’t have to be completed in a single day. Whether you choose to grab a few stamps each time you visit the festival and redeem the prize toward the end of the event or knock the whole thing out in one day, that fruity lime Dole whip will be waiting for you when you collect five stamps for trying this year’s Garden Graze food items.
