We’re roughly two weeks away from the premiere of Disney’s newest movie, Haunted Mansion. To synergize the movie’s promotion for Disney Park fans, Disneyland is celebrating in the way closest to their heart: food. Some frightfully delicious food offerings have made their way to Disneyland today for a limited time! Here’s what to be on the lookout for on your upcoming Disneyland trip.
About Haunted Mansion
If you’re a fan of the iconic attraction, chances are you’re looking forward to the reimagined film. Disney’s already taken a stab at the concept, with The Haunted Mansion in 2003 starring Eddie Murphy. This film follows a real estate agent and his family on their journey to break a manor of its curse.
As for the 2023 version, the storyline is completely different. A single mother, Gabbie, enlists the help of a priest, psychic, tour guide, and historian to help exorcise her newly-purchased mansion. The new version dons quite the cast, featuring actors such as Owen Wilson, Danny DeVito, and Rosario Dawson. Fans are especially excited to see some popular characters from the ride, Madame Leota and the Hatbox Ghost, portrayed by Jamie Lee Curtis and Jared Leto.
Releasing on July 28th, the film is another summer flick from Disney. This summer, Disney has already released the new Disney/Pixar Elemental, and Disney Studios’ Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. We’re curious to see if Haunted Mansion will be the big blockbuster Disney has been hoping for this season.
At this point, Disneyland’s in-park promotion for the new Haunted Mansion movie has been non-existent. The new array of specialty foods debuting today is really just about it so far. There are rumors that characters from the film may show up in the park, but nothing official has been announced at this time.
There has been a recent influx of new Haunted Mansion-themed merchandise at the Disneyland Resort and shopDisney. Perhaps the merch was inspired by the upcoming film, but more likely it’s an early start to the Halloween season. Take a look at the whole collection in the article below:
Haunted Mansion Food Offerings
