This summer, Disney is set to release a series of major films, as showcased in the latest issue of Disney Twenty-Three Magazine. The magazine will feature three covers, each highlighting a major Disney release: the live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid, the animated film Elemental, and the movie Haunted Mansion. The covers display exclusive artwork of the main characters from each movie.

On May 26, viewers will watch the live-action version of the 1989 classic, The Little Mermaid. The summer issue of Disney Twenty-Three offers a behind-the-scenes look into the making of the film through an interview with Halle Bailey, who stars as Ariel, along with director Rob Marshall, co-star Daveed Diggs, and composer Alan Menken.

Coming to theaters on June 16, Pixar’s Elemental will introduce audiences to a unique story and innovative animation. The magazine explores the creative process behind the film, featuring interviews with director Peter Sohn and co-stars Leah Lewis and Mamoudou Athie, who share insights into the film’s development.

Haunted Mansion, an adaptation of the Disneyland Park attraction, will be released on July 28. The summer issue of Disney Twenty-Three includes interviews with the film’s stars Rosario Dawson, LaKeith Stanfield, Tiffany Haddish, and director Justin Simien, a former Haunted Mansion cast member at Disneyland Park.

Additionally, the magazine’s back cover promotes the May 10 release of the Disney+ Original series, The Muppets Mayhem. Executive producers and co-stars share stories about the show, which follows the Electric Mayhem Band as they record their first album.

The issue also covers the return of Indiana Jones in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, featuring interviews with Harrison Ford, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and director James Mangold.

The summer issue, exclusive to D23 Gold Members, also commemorates several milestones and offers a sneak peek into the upcoming Disney+ series, American Born Chinese. It includes a visual tour of a Walt Disney Archives exhibit, a tribute to Disney Legend Burny Mattinson, and a retrospective on The Walt Disney Company from 1949–1973.
