Did you know that there is a Cooking Class just for kids at Disney Springs? I recently brought my 8-year-old son Johnny to this fun, pint-sized cooking class at Terralina Crafted Italian Restaurant for pizza making. If your little one has a taste for the delicious things in life, you’ll want to check this out!

Johnny is ready to become a chef!

Terralina Crafted Italian Restaurant

The cooking class is held at Terralina Crafted Italian Restaurant at Disney Springs. It is located in The Landing area by Paddlefish. The classes take place at 11:00am once a month; an area towards the back of the restaurant was set up for the little chefs.

Each place setting is ready to go with its own pizza dough, sauce, and pepperoni. And of course, Chef’s hat and apron. Johnny couldn’t wait to get started!

Let’s Make Pizza!

With the guidance of Executive Chef Justin Plank, children are introduced to ingredients and techniques, as they create their own pizza masterpiece. He spoke about the different ingredients and then demonstrated how to turn the ball of dough into a pizza crust. He then went step by step, adding the ingredients.

Johnny stretched and pinched the dough into shape, then added sauce and cheese and spread. For good measure, he added additional sauce and cheese prior to placing the pepperoni. Johnny really enjoyed the pizza-making process.

Time for a Pizza Tasting!

When Johnny finished his pizza, it was sent off to the oven. While the pizza ovens are off-limits for kids, there is a window into the kitchen where they can check on how the pizzas are baked. Johnny waited patiently to see what the finished product looked like. The pizzas came back nice and hot, ready to eat. Looks yummy!

Time for a taste! Of course, no meal would be complete without a dessert. An ice cream sundae with chocolate sauce completed Johnny’s meal.
