About Disney’s Roundup Rodeo BBQ
Roundup Rodeo BBQ will take guests on a rootin’ tootin’ and tasty experience in a new play area within Andy’s Backyard: a rodeo arena! Andy has taken some of his games, playsets, and toys to create the colorful scene.
As you approach the dining venue, you can smell the BBQ smoker!

Just behind the hostess stand are some ponies on a stick – you know the kids are in for a good time!

The walls are lined with tables and chairs up against playsets and toys:

A wooden block toy of Trixie the Triceratops sits in the middle of the first room, with a Fisher-Price-style Jessie figurine on top:

Bo Peep and her Sheep act as the centerpiece toy for the second area:

From the ceiling to the ground, everything is super colorful and mashed up together. There’s a lot to look at.

The restrooms are located near the check-in stand just inside the entrance, and they are everything you’d expect them to be. Do you feel like a toy yet?
Roundup Rodeo BBQ Menu
The food is served family-style, so platters of food are brought to the tables, similar to Whispering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness Lodge. For lunch and dinner, the fixed pricing is $45 for adults, and $25 for kids (ages 3-9).
Each menu item has a cutesy Toy Story theme to them – like Mean Old Potato Salad, Slinky Doooooooooog Mac & Cheese, and the pie-in-a-jar named after each of Bo Peep’s sheep.
The menu is full of BBQ-inspired comfort food, all served family style, with the platters being all-you-care-to-enjoy. Chef Brian Piasecki, Culinary Director for WDW, says the menu selections focus on variety and customization, so there’s something for everyone. Once seated, guests are served warm house-made cheddar biscuits brushed with clarified butter and served with sweet pepper jam (Brian says this will be the star of the show), all three salad options are served, followed by the smoked meats or plant-based platters, along with the table’s choice of four side dishes, with eight to choose from. Finally, dessert is included, with pies-in-a-jar for the grown-ups, and cupcake á la Forky for the kids. Soft drinks and iced teas are included in the price, with premium drinks available at an additional cost.
Rootin’ Tootin’ Roundup Rodel BBQ Tidbits:
- Favorite Toy Story characters play along throughout the experience via overhead speakers. Occasionally, Sarge will come on and notify the whole rodeo when “ANDY’S COMING!” – the entire restaurant must freeze until he leaves! Or Rex will come on for some random dance party time.
- Disney is already working on some special holiday-time touches, like a visit from Sid during Halloween!
- To make you feel even more like a small toy, grown-ups will use giant pencils to sign their dining check.
- You may spot some fun easter eggs as you look around the restaurant. My favorite is Minnie Moo on the milk carton (remember her from Fort Wilderness years ago?). And can you figure out what the date and code represent on the top of the carton?
