Serengeti Flyer… you are clear for takeoff!
The newest ride at Busch Gardens Tampa, Serengeti Flyer, is about to scream into flight, officially opening on February 27!
We got a sneak peek of this new attraction, a “screaming swing”, which is the tallest and fastest of its kind in the world, reaching a dynamic height of 138 feet and a static height of 105 feet, and reaching speeds up to 68 miles per hour!
The ride is located on part of the land that was once part of the Rhino Rally attraction.
Serengeti Flyer has a capacity of up to 40 guests (4 rows of 10) seated back to back in dueling gondolas. There is a 48″ height requirement, which allows for younger thrill seekers to take flight.
Now if you’ve been following along here on MiceChat, you will know, this reporter LOVES roller coasters. The bigger, the better. But this ride? I was absolutely terrified! It definitely lived up to its name of a “screaming swing” ride! And here’s the proof!
Ok, so it really wasn’t THAT bad. Actually quite fun in the end, but still pretty scary. But I rode it and survived!
The new area for Serengeti Flyer also gives guests some close views of Cheetah Hunt as it races by!
