A bundle of brand-new concept art has arrived for World of Frozen, a brand-new land slated to open in Hong Kong Disneyland in November 2023. This new land is Hong Kong Disneyland’s largest expansion to date. The Imagineers’ goal was to allow guests to step into an authentic, organic recreation of Arendelle, putting guests into the environment of the beloved Frozen characters. Here’s what we know about World of Frozen’s offerings!

Shopping and Dining in World of Frozen
Guests can shop for Frozen toys and other memorabilia in Tick Tock Toys & Collectibles, run by a woodcarver and his wife.
And they’ll feast like a local at the Golden Crocus Inn.
And Northern Lights, a confectionery specializing in chocolate and frozen treats, is a sweet way to end a visit to Arendelle.
World of Frozen’s Attractions
In addition to the dining and merchandise venues, World of Frozen will house several attractions. The first is an original family-friendly roller coaster called Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs. The coaster is designed by the jolly salesman, who has teamed up with Olaf and Sven to get the sleighs running.
The attraction’s queue includes details like a peek at Oaken’s Sauna, and carved wooden columns.
The second is a version of the popular EPCOT ride, Frozen Ever After. The dark ride tells a tale that takes place after the original movie, where the sisters celebrate a “Summer Snow Day” with all of their friends.
Here we see the audio-animatronic of Elsa that will be used in Hong Kong Disneyland’s version. The motions are even more fluid than the Orlando version and include more minute gestures.
And the third attraction is The Playhouse in the Woods, where the royal sister’s childhood playroom is now available for everyone to enjoy with interactive elements in the area.
Earlier World of Frozen Construction Drone Footage
This drone footage, taken in December 2022, was released on February 7, 2023, and showed just how close to completion the land is. In the video, we can see landmarks like Elsa’s Ice Palace, Arendelle Castle, and the Clock Tower (with figures of the two sisters on it). It also gives a sense of how sprawling the land will be once it is complete.
You will also notice the land is cleverly designed to seamlessly blend its skyline with the landscape of the Lantau Mountains that surround Hong Kong Disneyland.
