TRON Lightcycle / Run has been under construction at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom Park since 2018. Although guests anticipated an opening during The Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration, the construction continued throughout the entirety of the celebration.

After years of watching the massive TRON attraction’s building phase, fans finally have a day to plan for. Disney Parks has just confirmed that TRON Lightcycle / Run will be opening to all guests on April 4, 2023.

On April 4, guests will enter the Grid and climb aboard their very own lightcycles on TRON Lightcycle / Run, one of the fastest coasters in any Disney park. As part of Team Blue, guests compete against fierce Team Orange to be the first to race through eight Energy Gates in a dark, computerized world.

According to Disney, this attraction will be one of Disney’s fastest coasters. The ride vehicles are entirely different from any other Walt Disney World coaster, with riders climbing aboard their very own Lightcycle to race against villainous programs in the Grid.
