Walt Disney World has released two new promotions which might help take the sting out of high ticket prices. Guests can choose a promotional dining card good for a maximum $750 or a hotel discount up to 25% off select properties. Here are the details you need to know before your next WDW trip:
Disney Resort Room Discounts
From April 10-July 10, 2023 you can save up to 25% on select Disney Resort hotels. Of course, it’s not available every night, and available in a limited capacity. It’s possible that repricing your currently booked WDW vacation may save you money. Contact your travel agent for more details if you have a pending trip to Walt Disney World and are staying on property.

While we don’t have a resort breakdown of this promotion, it is typically only the Deluxe Resorts and Villas that are eligible for the maximum discount.
The Disney Dining Promo
For guests checking in from June 25-September 14, 2023, staying at a Walt Disney World Resort can get up to $750 on a Disney Dining Promo Card (requires a minimum 5-night package with 4-day park tickets). These cards can be used at select dining locations for food and beverage purchases.

The cards will only be received once you have arrived at the resort and only to the lead guests’ email. On top of that, these cards cannot be added to your MagicBand or MagicBand+ and they will only be electronic. You will need to show the barcode in the email to see the promo card. This seems like a missed opportunity here to add to the MagicBand+ or available in My Disney Experience app. Otherwise, it’s possible to forget about using your promo card, since you have to remember to pull up your email to use it.

Walt Disney World Dining Promo Card Offer Details
A minimum of a 4-Day ticket with a 5-Night stay is required. Value per night varies between resort type and type of resort. And of course, some resorts or room categories are excluded.

From June 25-30 and July 11-31, guests will receive the following based on the resort:
-
- Value Resorts – $35 per night
- Moderate Resorts and Fort Wilderness Cabins – $75 per night
- Deluxe Resorts and Villas – $125 per night
From July 1-10 and August 1-September 14, guests will receive the following based on the resort:
-
- Value Resorts – $50 per night
- Moderate Resorts and Fort Wilderness Cabins – $100 per night.
- Deluxe Resorts and Villas – $150 per night.
The value of the dining card could equal the cost of tickets (or cover a big chunk of your expenses).

Obviously, with the Disney Dining Promo Card Offer, Disney is looking at ways to fill in for the much-loved dining plans in the slower seasons. But the Dining Promo Card allows flexibility that the Dining Plans did not. Dining Plans have yet to return to Walt Disney World, and I’m not about to speculate at this time if, when, or how they might return, especially given the difficulty many guests have had with obtaining dining reservations at the most in-demand locations.
As with most WDW promotions, the Resort Room Discount and the Dining Promo Card Offer are not combinable with each other or with other offers. Choose wisely or have your travel agent help you determine what would help you save the most money.
