It may be the first day of 2023, but I can’t help feeling nostalgic for the 90s. And Loungefly’s upcoming Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck Pastel Color Block Dots collection has the 90s written all over it! The items in the collection, releasing in January 2023, are inspired by the two Disney gals’ fashion sense from that era. Let’s take a look!

Minnie Mouse Pastel Polka Dot Mini Backpack ($80)
One of my favorite things about this collection is that it reminds me of those “Minnie ‘n Me” books from my childhood (who else owned those?). The color scheme is taken straight from the trading cards created for the series. It also explains why the bow embellishment on this mini backpack looks slightly different than more modern stylings; on this bag, the ribbon is swept to the side, a style seen in the books. Other details include Minnie and Daisy sharing some gal time on the inner lining of the bag, a pastel Minnie silhouette zipper pull on the front pocket, and Minnie’s signature hidden on the back.
Minnie Mouse Pastel Polka Dot Crossbody Bag ($70)
Minnie plays “peek-a-boo” on this crossbody bag with her eyes just barely peering out from the bottom. This bag has a zippered closure up at the top with an extra tab closure that folds onto her bow. The inside uses the same lining as the mini backpack and has a hidden zippered pocket. It also includes a removable, adjustable strap.
Minnie and Daisy Pastel Polka Dot Flap Wallet ($40)
On the front of this flap wallet, Minnie shares a secret with Daisy (no doubt related to the love letter to Mickey she is holding). There is a simple yet visually-pleasing polka dot pattern on the back. Inside the wallet, you’ll find eight card slots and an ID window with a cutout shaped like Minnie’s bow. There is also a zippered pocket for change on the side.
Apparel
Minnie Mouse Pastel Polka Dot Unisex Hoodie ($70)
I love the look of this french terry hoodie, especially the bow on the kangaroo pocket. The lining of the hood is also full of bows. The print used on the body of the hoodie has portraits of Minnie and Daisy scattered amongst the pink polka dots. This fashionable coverup is available in Small through 3X-Large unisex sizes.
Minnie and Daisy Pastel Polka Dot Unisex Tee ($30)
This unisex ringer tee is a warm-weather option (and you could layer the tee with the hoodie for cool nights). It is made of 100% cotton jersey fabric and features an allover print with the pattern as the lining on this collection’s accessories. Like the hoodie, this piece is available in Small through 3X-Large unisex sizes.
Minnie Mouse Pastel Polka Dot Ear Headband ($30)
Want to rock an ear headband that coordinates with the rest of the collection? You’re in luck! This nostalgic, stylish headwear is the perfect thing to top off your 90s-themed outfit. The headband is made from vegan leather with a soft material lining the inside of the band for comfort. “Disney/Loungefly” is also embroidered on one side of the band.
