Today, Universal unveiled more details on the new Minions-inspired land that is currently under construction at their Florida Studios park. Let’s take a look at what’s to come!

Minion Land will open this summer alongside the previously-announced Villain-Con Minion Blast attraction. The new area will be located at the front of Universal Studios in what is now known as Production Central, which already hosts the existing Despicable Me Minion Mayhem attraction.

NEW Attraction: Illumination’s Villain-Con: Minion Blast
Shrek 4D moved out… and now the Minions are almost here!

Villain-Con Minion Blast will take guests and throw them into Villain-Con, a criminal convention where they will have to compete to see who is worthy of a spot in The Vicious 6. Guests will use interactive blasters to destroy a variety of items that find while winding through many and various scenes. The attraction will use highly innovative screen technology and immersive physical sets to create an incredible gaming adventure. Try your best to get a high score because you’re competing against other guests in this interactive attraction! Villain-Con Minion Blast takes inspiration from “Minions: The Rise of Gru,” the latest film in the Despicable Me franchise, and it promises to deliver as much destruction and mayhem as the Minions themselves are famous for. More details on the new attraction will be released at a later date!
Upon exiting the villainous adventure, you’ll exit through the new gift shop Evil Stuff (fittingly located across the pre-existing Super Silly Stuff), where you can pick up some Villain-Con and Minions-themed merch.

Alongside the new attraction, Minion Land will include Minion Cafe restaurant, Bake My Day sweets shop, Evil Stuff gift shop, a character meet & greet, and more.
- Minion Cafe

The immersive new eatery offers something tasty for everyone, wrapped up in an entertaining dining experience within three themed areas designed after the beloved Minions Kevin, Stuart, Bob, and Otto – the Kitchen, Breakroom, and Dining Room. An outdoor patio with seating will be available.
The Minion Cafe will also feature an express window with a limited menu for those just wanting a quick snack.
With over 20 menu items, Here’s a peek at some of the cute and colorful new food offerings that will be available at Minion Cafe!
In case you’re not drooling just yet, there are even more snacks and sweets coming to Minion Land!
- Bake My Day bakery will feature Minion-themed treats, including cupcakes and macarons, alongside exclusive merchandise.

- Pop-A-Nana will offer sweet and savory popcorn (including banana-flavored!), and an assortment of themed-popcorn buckets.
- Freeze Ray Pops will offer a variety of cooling, colorful popsicles and beverages inspired by Gru, the Minions, and Vector.
As part of the land’s outdoor facade, Illumination Theater will host beloved characters including the Minions, Gru, Margo, Edith, and Agnes, as they meet & greet and interact with guests. New characters from Illuminations: Sing (Rosita, Gunter, and Johnny) will be seen here too.
