D23 events for 2023 are being revealed. And while not all details for the new year are known, there are a variety of things, both big and small, on the way for Disney’s 100th anniversary and beyond.
Destination D23 – Orlando
Sept 8-10, 2023
In off years from the D23 Expo in Anaheim, Disney offers the more modest Destination D23 in Orlando. 2023 will celebrate 100 years of The Walt Disney Company with special guests, behind-the-scenes stories, archives presentations and more.
Disney100 Exhibition
The Disney Archives has produced several museum exhibitions in recent years. Disney100 will premiere at The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia in February of 2023 before heading off to other locations.
Disney100 Studios Event
D23 members will have an opportunity to visit the Walt Disney Studios Lot for an exclusive event in honor of 100 years of Disney stories and characters.
Walt Disney Studios Official Tours
One of the most popular activities offered by D23 are the occasional tours of the Disney Studios. These tours typically visit several key departments and buildings and offer a visit to Walt Disney’s office suite. If you can get one of the very limited tickets, this is a must-do.
Milestone Anniversaries
D23 frequently celebrates the anniversaries of films that hit big milestones (in the past they’ve highlighted films turning 50 and fabulous) with in-person events. The films being celebrated in 2023 are a variety of ages:

- Mulan (25th)
- Who Framed Roger Rabbit (35th)
- Hocus Pocus (30th)
- Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas (30th)
- Halloweentown (25th)
Walt’s Marceline
D23 Members will have an opportunity to visit Walt Disney’s boyhood home of Marceline Missouri in June 2023. Walt frequently cited this charming Missouri town as one of his greatest influences.
Disney Theatrical Nights
D23 will offer special opportunities at a variety of Disney stage shows in 2023. These events frequently offer special ticket deals and an opportunity to hear from cast members after the show.
