Christmas Town at Busch Gardens Tampa is celebrating 10 festive years!
This is one of our favorite events at the park, and while it has gone through some changes over the years, this year’s Christmas Town is the longest running yet, beginning November 14 and running daily through January 9, and looks like the park will be celebrating the holidays with style!
In addition to returning favorite activities, seeing the park lit up with millions of twinkling lights, and entertaining shows, there are several brand-new offerings at this year’s Christmas Town!

New At Christmas Town
Land of the Sweets – This will be a whole new area where guests can meet the Sugar Plum Princess as well as her new friends, the Sugar Plum Ballerina stilt walker and her Cavalier Soldier!
Christmas With the Celts – A brand new show that features a combination of Christmas carols and traditional Irish dancing! Christmas With the Celts will be performed at the Stanleyville Theatre Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays December 16 through December 25.
Holiday In the Sky – Cap off your evening with this new festive fireworks water fountain show, set to a reimagined soundtrack of holiday tunes. You can view the fireworks from various locations throughout the park, but for the full experience, we recommend viewing from the Festival Field behind Iron Gwazi.
There will also be a new 32-foot tall Christmas tree on display in the Jungala area of the park, surrounded by a red and white Winter Wonderland.
Returning Christmas Town Favorites
Christmas On Ice – This fan-favorite ice stating show is back at the Moroccan Palace Theatre to dazzle guests with merriment set to a soundtrack of classic holiday tunes.
Santa’s North Pole Experience – This fun, interactive experience takes guests to Santa’s Workshop, featuring a personal meet & greet with the Jolly Old Elf himself! Be sure to check out the Santa’s sleigh (which will be parked outside) photo opportunity as well!
Storytime with Mrs. Claus – Join Mrs. Claus for fun holiday tales at the Coke Canopy stage.
Rudolph Winter Wonderland – The most famous reindeer of all is back to greet his fans, and this year sees the return of his friends Clarice and fan-favorite… Bumble!
Elmo’s Christmas Wish – Guests can join Cookie Monster, Rosita, Grover, and Zoe in the Sesame Street Safari of Fun area of the park as they help Elmo find his Christmas wish!
Three Kings Journey – This musical tale of the three wise men’s journey to Bethlehem will be celebrated at Dragonfire Grill. The show will be offered during select nights November 18 through January 8.
Holly Jolly Express – All aboard for Christmas Cheer! The merriest train in Florida will transport guests into the celebration as they loop around the park aboard this sing-along journey playing favorite songs of the season.
Christmas Town Food
In addition to the shows, meet & greets and other fun-filled activities, Christmas Town always features food cabins serving delicious eats, treats, and specialty cocktails.
Some of the new food offerings this year include:
- Red Curry Shrimp and Jasmine Rice
- Wild Mushroom Tart with Boursin Cheese Crema
- Braised Beef and Roasted Garlic Smashed Potato
- A unique cabin serving Wine and Chocolate Truffles

A “Decorate Your Own Cookie” Cabin for kids
There will also be several locations throughout the park where guests can enjoy the park’s signature Christmas Town hot chocolate (if you have a refillable Christmas Town hot chocolate mug purchased a previous year, be sure to bring it along for discounted refills).
Sampler Lanyards will once again be available for guests to use for food and beverage purchases at the Christmas Town food cabins in 5 and 10 punch increments. There will also be a special 12 punch variation for the price of a 10 punch lanyard exclusively for annual pass members. We always highly recommend purchasing a sampler lanyard if you want to sample as many dishes as possible as you will get a lot of bang for your buck (use cash to purchase bottled water & soda).
