Disneyland’s Matterhorn is back. The beloved attraction reopened early this morning (Friday, October 14th) after an approximate 10-week refurbishment and immediately pulled in big crowds.

During the refurbishment, maintenance teams gave all three Yetis a complete rehab.

Another focus of the project was guest comfort. Every headrest, arch padding, seat back and seat bottom was replaced for each bobsled. And while we didn’t feel like our tailbones got bruised this time around, it wasn’t exactly a comfortable ride. Bumpy, knees still get knocked around. There’s got to be some sort of solution to make this ride a bit more comfortable.

We also understand that both projection screens on the lifts, as well as black lighting, were also replaced. Though, it’s hard to tell that in our video.
