Dreamlight Valley was once a place where Disney and Pixar characters lived and played peacefully together. However, that tranquility is shattered as The Forgetting ensnared the land, leaving behind a town that retained only hints of its former glory.
Luckily, you have arrived at Dreamlight Valley, and by forging friendships with many familiar faces, you’ll bring the magic back.

From what we have seen, Disney Dreamlight Valley has a lot to offer players in terms of gameplay variety. Here are some of the ways to pass your time:
Customize Your Life
From your appearance and wardrobe to the layout of your home and even the town itself, there are plenty of ways to mold Dreamlight Valley to your tastes.
Much of the apparel and accessories (and yes, Ear Headbands are an option) are inspired by Disney and Pixar characters, but you can alter them with the Touch of Magic tool to add embellishments and even change the base colors.
And as for customizing your environment, foraging around the Valley will reward you with materials to build furniture to decorate your home your way. You can even reorganize locales you’ve visited, like Dazzle Beach, to fit your vision.
Interact with the Residents of Dreamlight Valley
Ever dreamed of cooking tantalizing dishes with Remy? How about nurturing a garden with Wall-E? Or maybe fishing with Moana? There are so many activities for you to look forward to. And when you meet a favorite character during your journey, don’t forget to snap a selfie!
I am particularly interested in whipping up all sorts of tasty treats with Remy. How about you?
And by exploring every nook and cranny of the Valley, you’ll find more and more characters to befriend, even some you wouldn’t expect, like Ursula and Scar.
Befriending villains is an interesting aspect that I am curious to experience. Are we introduced to these baddies in the same manner as the more friendly and heroic characters? Are aspects of their personalities altered or toned down? It will be intruiging to find out how they fit into the game’s world.
Help a Friend in Need
Because of The Forgetting, many of your new friends are initially broken shells of their former selves. But by completing character-specific quests, you can help restore that spark that made us love them so much to begin with. These quests may even lead you to hidden ruins scattered throughout the Valley.

Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Release Date and Other Details
Disney Dreamlight Valley is scheduled to launch in 2023 as a free-to-play game on PC, Mac, Nintendo Switch, Playstation 5, Playstation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Xbox One. The console versions will be released on their respective eShops, while the PC and Mac versions will be available via Steam, Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store, and Mac App Store.
Early Access for the game begins on September 6 and is available for players who either purchase the Founder’s Pack (price TBA) or have an Xbox Game Pass subscription. Aside from granting early access to the game, the Founder’s Pack includes a bundle of helpful and exclusive items (in-game currency, cosmetic items, etc.) that carry over to the game’s official launch.
