The Star Wars-themed Hyperspace Mountain overlay first took over Disneyland’s Space Mountain attraction in 2015. Despite fans campaigning for Hyperspace Mountain to be a permanent fixture in Tomorrowland (like at Disneyland Paris), the extremely popular overlay comes and goes over time – often with little fanfare. Today, we learned that Hyperspace Mountain will return for a limited time from May 1 through June 4, 2023, as part of Star Wars Month.
While in the past, the attraction closed one day before Hyperspace Mountain launches, there’s no planned closure for April 30 currently on the schedule. For the first time, an end date has been announced for Hyperspace Mountain. Generally, Disneyland announces Hyperspace Mountain as a “limited-time offering” without a hard end date at first. Hyperspace Mountain will arrive in time for the separately ticketed “Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite” after-hours event. For more info about that event, take a look at the article below:

Your mission begins with a briefing from Admiral Ackbar—the Rebel Alliance needs help flying reconnaissance vessels to survey an Imperial Star Destroyer. After being escorted into hyperspace by an elite X-wing squadron, you arrive only to find the Star Destroyer waiting with a swarm of TIE fighters—it’s a trap!
As Rebel forces valiantly battle Imperial vessels, you’re caught up in a barrage of blaster fire. Maneuvers become more intense as you join the Rebel squadron for one final, courageous assault on the menacing Star Destroyer. It’s an epic Star Wars combat scene taken straight from the films—but hurry, Hyperspace Mountain is only open for a limited time!
