The Disneyland Merchandise Update is back in action! We’ve got tons of items to cover, as well as a few new places to shop at the Disneyland Resort. Highlights for this Update include options to help expand your winter wardrobe, a new Her Universe line of apparel, along with merchandise from two recently-released movies. And, I’ll be including new and noteworthy items from the past few weeks to help catch us up. Here we go!

Warm Disney Winterwear

Baby, it’s cold(er) outside. And if you find yourself unprepared for the lower temperatures when visiting the Parks, or simply want something Disney-flavored to snuggle up with once you get home, there are plenty of new items to choose from.

Sherpa Fleece and Polar Fleece Apparel

Fleece in its many incarnations seems to be very “in” right now, judging by the recent influx of apparel made from the fabric.

Spirit Jersey joins Team Sherpa Fleece with this hoodie and matching lounge pants (sold separately). I must say, I love the colors used on this set.

In addition to Spirit Jersey’s offerings, Disney created a few Sherpa Fleece sweatshirt/pants combinations of their own (also sold separately). I was pleased to see that Kuzco from The Emperor’s New Groove got his own set (note that the pants on this set are not Sherpa but Polar Fleece). I’ve always felt that The Emperor’s New Groove needed more merchandise.

Other Sherpa Fleece pieces include this Piglet Zippered Hoodie and a Zip-Up Jacket with Star Wars Icons.

In terms of Polar Fleece options, there is this Mickey Icon Pullover Hoodie and a Zip-Up Jacket with a print featuring Naveen from The Princess and The Frog.

Other Cozy Apparel

Amidst these sweaters’ knitted cables are the faces of several popular characters from Disney, Pixar, and even Marvel! There’s Mickey in red, Minnie in white, Donald in yellow, Black Panther in black, and the Toy Story Alien in green.

There are three new lightweight pullover sweatshirts as well. Styles include graphics starring Bruni from Frozen 2, Tinker Bell, and Oliver from Oliver and Company.

, Post-Christmas Disneyland Merchandise Update: Long Time, New Merch
This Oliver and Company Sweatshirt doesn’t have a graphic on the back beyond a small Disneyland logo near the neckline.

The image on the front of the Stitch Hoodie is a little simple in style but still charming all the same. It has matching lounge pants with a print full of palm fronds with Stich scuttling around them.

, Post-Christmas Disneyland Merchandise Update: Long Time, New Merch

Much like Oliver and Kuzco, the rarely-seen Robin Hood and Little John are the focal points of some comfy clothing, in their case, a hoodie and a pair of lounge pants.

, Post-Christmas Disneyland Merchandise Update: Long Time, New Merch , Post-Christmas Disneyland Merchandise Update: Long Time, New Merch

This Chip and Dale Sweatshirt has an elasticized hem, giving it a unique look.

For the Kiddos

The younger crowd can opt to warm up in this Sweatshirt and matching Sweat Pants. Both pieces show Mickey and Minnie fondly nuzzling.

, Post-Christmas Disneyland Merchandise Update: Long Time, New Merch

There is also a kid-sized Quilted Jacket with embroidered silhouettes of Mickey and Minnie on the front.

For Your Noggin’

If you wear Ear Headbands in the cold, it might be good to have them fleece-lined, like this tie-dyed style seen below.

, Post-Christmas Disneyland Merchandise Update: Long Time, New Merch

And for those who still want to rock some “ears” but need a little bit more heat retention, there is this Minnie Mouse beanie. A pompom is sewn on each side to mimic mouse ears.

, Post-Christmas Disneyland Merchandise Update: Long Time, New Merch

Corduroy is a nice warm fabric and you’ll find it on two hats, a Mickey Mouse one and a Winnie the Pooh version. Pooh’s “Save the Bees” hat is older than Mickey’s but is very popular and has a tendency to sell out quickly.

Mickey Meets Denim

Her Universe collaborated with Disney to create a line of Denim Mickey apparel. They all have a 90s era vibe.

One of the more interesting items is the Overalls. The nod to Mickey Mouse is subtle, seen on a Hidden Mickey patch on the front that can be easily missed. In this same image is the Button-Up Denim Jacket. The front is a touch more obvious in its Mickey-ness than the overalls but the large image on the back is hard to miss (which is not necessarily a bad thing).

The back of the Button-Up Denim Jacket

This Zippered Denim Jacket provides more warmth than the Button-Up one, which is really more for appearance than function.

There are also a pair of Denim Joggers from this line. Several patches along the legs provide a bit of color and character.

From Florida, With Love

A few imports from Walt Disney World have mysteriously materialized at the Disneyland Resort. And while I am thrilled to have access to the items without having to travel across the country, some of the merchandise sticks out like a sore thumb.

The new Shoulder Plushes can blend in relatively easily. The two in the first photo are styled after Mexican alebrije and were initially created for EPCOT. The Orange Bird Shoulder Plush has been in a Walt Disney World since February 2021.

, Post-Christmas Disneyland Merchandise Update: Long Time, New Merch

The Wishables series created for Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary is a bit more conspicuous since “Walt Disney World” is right there on the package of the mystery bag. Mickey and Minnie can be purchased by themselves but Donald, Goofy, Daisy, Pluto, Chip, and Dale are only found inside the mystery bags. Every character in this series is dressed in an outfit similar to that seen in other 50th Celebration Collection merchandise.

, Post-Christmas Disneyland Merchandise Update: Long Time, New Merch

The Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary outfits designed for the nuiMOs plushes also have made their way to the West Coast.

, Post-Christmas Disneyland Merchandise Update: Long Time, New Merch

This edition of Yahtzee has nods to the four Parks of Walt Disney World. There is each a playing piece (cup?) for Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom.

You Can Go Home Again

I am going to start off this section by saying that “NO SPOILERS!” And with that out of the way, let’s take a look at the merchandise for Spider-Man: No Way Home sold at Disneyland.

For such a big movie, there didn’t seem to be a whole lot of merchandise available for Spider-Man: No Way Home available when I visited earlier this week. I don’t know if that has something to do with the ports being backed up or if there just wasn’t much made specifically for it to begin with (the latter seems less realistic).

, Post-Christmas Disneyland Merchandise Update: Long Time, New Merch

Of the three pieces of movie merchandise I found, this backpack seemed the most interesting. It had a slight metallic finish on certain parts of the exterior and the overall look of the bag was eyecatching. I also loved that it had a padded sleeve inside for a laptop or tablet.

, Post-Christmas Disneyland Merchandise Update: Long Time, New Merch

In the realm of apparel, I spotted a Raglan Shirt for adults with a distressed Spider-Man emblem on it. It had a fun comic-book feel to it. Kids got a (frankly, less interesting) grey shirt with an image of the hero on the front.

Also from the Marvel Cinematic Universe is Scarlet Witch, who now has a water bottle with stylized art of her embossed on it.

Me Encanta “Encanto” Mercancía

Encanto was released in theaters last month but landed on Disney+ on Christmas Eve. From apparel and accessories to toys and crafts, there is plenty of merchandise for the heartwarming film to be found around the Disneyland Resort.

, Post-Christmas Disneyland Merchandise Update: Long Time, New Merch

Perhaps one of the prettiest pieces of Encanto merchandise (and believe me, that is saying something) is the Loungefly Mini Backpack. The front has colorful art of the Madrigal family’s home. The back and sides of the bag also have stylized art on them.

This Ear Headband looks similar to Mirabel’s dress with tons of embroidered embellishments.

, Post-Christmas Disneyland Merchandise Update: Long Time, New Merch

There is also a kid’s costume dress that lets them cosplay as Mirabel. I would love to see a similar dress for adults.

, Post-Christmas Disneyland Merchandise Update: Long Time, New Merch

In terms of toys, I spotted plushes of Mirabel and the toucan as well as a craft kit to design your own bag in Mirabel’s style.

Star Wars Stuff

If themed shirts are not your family’s cup of tea, perhaps these Jedi and Padawan hats will work instead.

, Post-Christmas Disneyland Merchandise Update: Long Time, New Merch

, Post-Christmas Disneyland Merchandise Update: Long Time, New Merch

With a magnet for each Star Wars film (not counting spin-offs), this Magnet Set would be a great souvenir or gift for a Star Wars fan.

, Post-Christmas Disneyland Merchandise Update: Long Time, New Merch

This might be the most colorful Mandalorian shirt in existence.

, Post-Christmas Disneyland Merchandise Update: Long Time, New Merch

There are also accessories for your bag (or denim jacket, if you prefer) and your ears. The patches are available in sets themed to the original trilogy or to Boba Fett. The earrings seem to be inspired specifically by the trilogy (I believe the top row is supposed to be Yoda, not Grogu).

, Post-Christmas Disneyland Merchandise Update: Long Time, New Merch

There is also a new Disney Dress Shop Dress that plays off of Princess Leia’s white dress seen in Star Wars: A New Hope.

Downtown Disney Developments

Over the past month or so, three new shopping destinations have opened up in Downtown Disney. The first two, Lovepop and Pelé, also have stores in Disney Springs, Walt Disney World’s shopping district. Post 21 is notable not only because of its thoughtful products (more on that in a moment) but also because is a family-owned business.

Lovepop Pops Up

Lovepop builds on the Japanese art of kirigami (paper-cutting) to create truly impressive pop-up greeting cards. The store opened its doors for the first time earlier this week but was closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

, Post-Christmas Disneyland Merchandise Update: Long Time, New Merch

Lovepop boasts over 400 designs. They even have a line of Disney products.

Pelé Soccer Rolls In

Located next to Lovepop and named after the famous Brazilian soccer player, Pelé Soccer specializes in all things soccer. The interior has a stadium theme.

, Post-Christmas Disneyland Merchandise Update: Long Time, New Merch

As you would expect, Pelé carries a wide range of soccer jerseys. You’ll also find soccer balls with different designs.

, Post-Christmas Disneyland Merchandise Update: Long Time, New Merch

Among the less obvious but still related items are a 3D Puzzle of Ethiad Stadium in Manchester City and a tabletop version of soccer.

Pay a Visit to Post 21

You’ll find Post 21 just outside of World of Disney. The company was founded by Juana Williams and Blair Paysinger, a mother-daughter team. At their new Downtown Disney kiosk, they have curated a treasure trove of unique items, all from Black-owned businesses.

, Post-Christmas Disneyland Merchandise Update: Long Time, New Merch

any of the products would make great gifts (or you could buy them for yourself). On my visit, I found candles with cheery messages, amusing pet tags, and toys and apparel for the younger ones.

The accessories were beautiful. I particularly loved the crown full of crystals. And the combs and picks were stunning.

, Post-Christmas Disneyland Merchandise Update: Long Time, New Merch , Post-Christmas Disneyland Merchandise Update: Long Time, New Merch

And there were several specialty foods sold at Post 21 as well. The flavored raw honey (especially the lavender one) from Zach and Zoë Sweet Bee Farm and the Teaspressa Luxe Sugar Cubes caught my attention.

Odds & Ends

2022 Collection

We got a look at the first wave of 2022 dated merchandise in a previous Disneyland Update but more pieces have now arrived.

This Pullover Sweater for Adults includes a screen-printed graphic that not only includes Mickey Mouse and the year 2022 but also four landmarks from the Disneyland Resort: Sleeping Beauty Castle, Carthay Circle, Pixar Pal-a-Round, and Space Mountain.

, Post-Christmas Disneyland Merchandise Update: Long Time, New Merch

For little kids hoping to commemorate the new year, there’s this Minnie Mouse shirt with ruffled sleeves.

, Post-Christmas Disneyland Merchandise Update: Long Time, New Merch

From Disney California Adventure’s Buena Vista Street

This Winder Frost Ear Headband subtly alludes to snow with its soft grey base and glimmering sequin bow. But I think this is a style that can be worn all year round.

, Post-Christmas Disneyland Merchandise Update: Long Time, New Merch

Hungry Hungry Hippos turns into Hungry Hungry Hippos & Friends in this Jungle Cruise-themed version of the game.

, Post-Christmas Disneyland Merchandise Update: Long Time, New MerchThe Chip and Dale nuiMOs plushes have arrived at the Disneyland Resort. Are you Team Chip or Team Dale?

, Post-Christmas Disneyland Merchandise Update: Long Time, New Merch

This Loungefly Mini Backpack is themed to Mickey Waffles. The front pocket is one big waffle (with a little pat of butter, of course).

, Post-Christmas Disneyland Merchandise Update: Long Time, New Merch , Post-Christmas Disneyland Merchandise Update: Long Time, New Merch

Lovers of the Disneyland Railroad will be interested in this new purse designed to look like a conductor’s pocket watch. It even has a flap that unzips to reveal a clock face with moving hands (this is separate from the actual storage compartment).

, Post-Christmas Disneyland Merchandise Update: Long Time, New Merch , Post-Christmas Disneyland Merchandise Update: Long Time, New Merch

These two laid-back-looking shirts feature Mickey in a more sketch-like art style. The white one is for adults with the blue one sized for kids.

Spotted in Downtown Disney’s World of Disney

This year’s holiday purchase-with-purchase promotion is this nylon tote bag. You can get one for yourself for the price of $24.99 with a purchase of $40 dollars or more. This promotion is available in many stores around the Resort.

, Post-Christmas Disneyland Merchandise Update: Long Time, New Merch

Yes, we have yet another Ear Headband. This one is called Azul Blue (a redundant name, if you ask me) and it has quilted ears with a shimmery bow.

, Post-Christmas Disneyland Merchandise Update: Long Time, New Merch

Pluto and Pua have joined the Weighted Support Plushes roster. I think these two might be the cutest yet.

Following Jasmine in the Designer Doll Collection is Pocahontas. The character following her, Ariel, is already released on shopDisney (Pocahontas and Jasmine are still on there as well).

From Downtown Disney’s Dress Shop

Several new Disney Princess shirts made in collaboration with Junk Food have cropped up recently. Styles include Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, and Cinderella. I especially love the feminist tone on Ariel’s and Jasmine’s shirts.

, Post-Christmas Disneyland Merchandise Update: Long Time, New Merch , Post-Christmas Disneyland Merchandise Update: Long Time, New Merch

This Disneyland logo shirt is simple in style and cut a little short but not as much as a crop top.
