This year is nearly over and Loungefly is closing out 2021 with some delightful December product releases. We’ve got two collections that combine some of Mickey’s pals with tasty confections and another that recreates a memorable scene from the Disney classic film (and one of my favorite movies), Bedknobs and Broomsticks. Plus, we’ll take a look at some of the items that were on display at the “Merrier with Loungefly” event, held earlier this month. Here we go!

Minnie Mouse Sprinkle Cupcake Collection – Estimated Arrival Date Mid-December
Fresh out of the oven comes a batch of cupcake-themed accessories baked by Minnie Mouse herself. This collection includes a Mini Backpack, a Flap Wallet, and an Ear Headband.
Minnie Mouse Sprinkle Cupcake Cosplay Mini Backpack ($80)
This Cosplay Mini Backpack is shaped like Minnie holding a cupcake. The cupcake in question is actually the backpack’s front compartment. Her arms holding the snack are a clever extra detail. On the backside, “Oh My!” is printed, although that part won’t be visible when the accessory is in use. The interior lining is full of Minnie (and Mickey!) cupcakes, surrounded by multicolor sprinkles.
Minnie Mouse Sprinkle Cupcake Cosplay Flap Wallet ($40)
This Flap Wallet is made to resemble a cupcake, albeit one that has been folded over. The front has the frosted top of the cake with the bottom wrapper on the back. Open it to reveal an ID window, multiple card slots, a bill pocket, and a zippered change compartment.
Minnie Mouse Sprinkle Cupcake Ear Headband ($30)
Topping off the collection is this Ear Headband. For the most part, it resembles a basic Minnie Mouse-themed Ear Headband with a red polka-dot bow and black mouse ears. However, the ears on this one have a layer of icing and a handful of sprinkles on each one.
Chip and Dale Sweet Treats Collection – Estimated Arrival Late December
It looks like those mischievous chipmunks, Chip and Dale, have a hankering for some sweet snacks. This sugar-coated collection includes a Mini Backpack, a Crossbody Bag, and a Zip Around Wallet.
Chip and Dale Sweet Treats Mini Backpack ($70)
This Mini Backpack is the simplest of its kind within this article. It features a popular bag design that includes a large main compartment joined by a smaller compartment in the front. The exterior print used shows Chip and Dale sampling different desserts with sprinkles accenting the images. On the interior lining, you’ll find the two critters’ smiling faces along with their names, topped with a cherry.
Chip and Dale Sweet Treats Crossbody Bag ($70)
For the crossbody bag, it looks as though the furry friends attempt to make off with a donut. On the flap, the donut’s glaze is chocolate but underneath, the art shows one with pink glaze. An extra zippered pocket is on the inside, along with lining decorated in a donut-themed print. The bag is secured with a magnetic clasp. It also features a carrying handle and a removable, adjustable shoulder strap.
Chip and Dale Sweet Treats Zip Around Wallet ($40)
And on the Zip Around Wallet, Chip and Dale turn their attention (and appetites) towards an ice cream sundae. The front shows the pair getting ready to dig in, both attempting to reach for the cherry on top of the dessert. The back reveals that Chip snagged the cherry and Dale doesn’t seem all that pleased. The interior has several card slots, an ID window, and a pocket for bills.
Bedknobs and Broomsticks Underwater Collection – Estimated Arrival Mid-December
I may have a huge sweet tooth but my love for the Walt Disney classic film Bedknobs and Broomsticks (which turns 50 this year!) beats out my hankering for a cupcake or donut. And this stunning collection, which includes a Mini Backpack and a Zip Around Wallet, does the magical movie justice with a colorful depiction of the underwater musical sequence for the song, “The Beautiful Briny.”

Bedknobs and Broomsticks Underwater Mini Backpack ($75)
The Mini Backpack’s smaller pocket has Charlie, Carrie, and Paul sitting on the bed (now enchanted with the Traveling Spell). Miss Price and Professor Brown are on the front of the main compartment, mingling with the creatures of the deep. Dancing fish friends decorate a good portion of the exterior, making this bag a particularly fun accessory to look at and explore its details.
Bedknobs and Broomsticks Underwater Zip Around Wallet ($40)
The Zip Around Wallet condenses the art from the Mini Backpack to fit the smaller surface. The children along with Miss Price and Professor Brown are all on the front. The back features the band that played during that scene. Inside the wallet are several card sleeves, an ID window, and a zippered pocket.
Merchandise Previewed at the “Merrier with Loungefly” Event
Loungefly recently held their “Merrier with Loungefly” event, which offered a look at some of their upcoming products. Many of the goodies on display were themed to a Disney character. Here is a peek at some of the merchandise shown:
There were several different Mickey and Minnie Mouse-themed Mini Backpacks and matching Ear Headbands (sold separately).
Beloved films like The Princess and the Frog and Robin Hood were also represented.
Finally, I want to take a moment to highlight a collection very near and dear to my heart, all themed to the 80s cartoon show, Adventures of the Gummi Bears. I especially love the print used on the Mini Backpack (with a Gummiberry juice zipper pull!). Not only does it include all six Gummi Bears but also the Great Book of Gumm, the Gummi Medallion, and a bottle of Gummiberry juice. Other items in this collection include a Zip Around Wallet and Pin.

The World-Famous MiceChat Gumball Rally Returns!
