Destinatination D23 2021 officially kicks off tomorrow (Nov 20, 2021) at the Contemporary Resort at Walt Disney World. And we’ve got a preview of the merchandise inside the Mickey’s of Glendale pop-up at the event! There are several different themes used in the merchandise sold at this year’s Destination D23 and we’ll take a look at all of them. Here we go!

How To Purchase Destination D23 Merchandise

Premium ticket holders could make a shopping reservation for today. But all attendees will be able to shop, no reservation needed, starting tomorrow.

Sorcerer Mickey

You just knew the Big Cheese himself would be represented merchandise-wise in some form or another. And the form selected was the most magical of all, Sorcerer Mickey. Mickey has been interpreted in three different art styles: geometric, mosaic, and distressed painting.

The Muppets

Surprisingly, the most prominent intellectual property represented within Mickey’s of Glendale is the Muppets.

Muppet Haunted Mansion

Riding the wave of the Disney+ movie’s popularity, Disney made sure to include merchandise from Muppets Haunted Mansion. Items included a shirt and lithograph.

Both featured art that riffed on The Haunted Mansion’s original attraction poster. 

PizzeRizzo

Fans of the Disney Hollywood Studio’s eatery, PizzeRizzo, will get a laugh at the merchandise that pays homage to the location.

This shirt and windbreaker (sold separately) have PizzeRizzo’s logo somewhere on the garment. The shirt takes it a step further by including the “hours” found on the menu posted on the restaurant’s window.  

The green PizzeRizzo shirt has the phrase “You got the dough? We got the cheese” on the back of the shirt. The slogan is painted along the outside of the pizza parlor.

Fittingly, there is also an apron with PizzeRizzo’s logo on it.

And, of course, a hat as well.

Muppet Vision 3D

Muppet Vision 3D may have gone the way of the dodo on the West Coast but the show is still a part of the entertainment offered at Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios. And with its opening year of 1991, Muppet Vision 3D has some very 90’s-looking art to match. Mickey’s of Glendale offers this rad logo on a shirt, a cropped hoodie, and a mug.

The Muppets Studio

And if you are just an overall lover of the Muppets, you can wear (or sit on) your fandom. There are several items that are simply branded “The Muppets Studio” with the occasional Kermit on a few of them.

Here, we see the director’s chair (!), hat, and long sleeve shirt.

Additionally, there is a women’s shirt and a zippered hoodie.

Walt Disney Imagineering

Yes, yes. Technically, by virtue of originating at Mickey’s of Glendale, nearly all of the items showcased in this article can be considered “Walt Disney Imagineering” merchandise. However, only a few of them have the department’s logo emblazoned on the actual product.

These items include an insulated vest, grey shirt, navy shirt, canvas bag, and water bottle. In addition to this merchandise, there is a hat and long sleeve shirt with Sorcerer Mickey on them as seen on a version of the Walt Disney Imagineering logo.

Orange Bird

The popular citrus-based avian, Orange Bird, has quite a bit of merchandise to his name.

First up is this thermos.

The guy also gets a hat.

And finally, he has two pieces of apparel, a women’s shirt and a men’s long sleeve polo shirt.

Disney Paper Parks

If you have been following the Disney Parks Blog over the past year and a half, you might have noticed activities called “Disney Paper Parks,” do-it-yourself paper dioramas of Parks icons, posted on the site. They must be pretty popular because there is now a merchandise collection for them.

The collection offers a sweatshirt, a women’s shirt, and a hat. Check back for more detailed pictures tomorrow!

Destination D23 Event Goods

Several pieces of apparel and accessories can serve as proof that you did indeed attend Destination D23. Options include two different hats, a hoodie with a kangaroo pocket, a flannel shirt (starring Figment), a Spirit Jersey. I suspect the Spirit Jersey will be the most sought-after of the bunch with Orange Bird on the chest and Figment on the back.

Odds & Ends

There are also two camp shirts featuring prints inspired by Disney Parks. One is filled with animals found at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The other is covered with the otherworldly artifacts and ghostly denizens of the Haunted Mansion.
