Disney Wish 2022

When Disney Wish first sets sail on June 9, 2022, it will be starting its maiden season of sailings to Nassau, Bahamas and Disney’s private island of Castaway Cay from Port Canaveral, Florida. Most will be three- and four-night cruises, but the June 9 departure will be a special five-night trip. And the June 14 one will be exclusive to Disney Vacation Club members.

Newly revealed at Disney’s Oceaneer Club for ages three to twelve will be Star Wars: Cargo Bay, where kids will participate in “Star Wars: Creature Challenge,” feeding and tracking the likes of a porg, Loth-cat, worrt and more. In-person experiences will be further enhanced with augmented reality-enabled datapads. But even more exciting, they will be recruited by the Resistance to help a pair of stowaways in the form of Rey and Chewbacca.

Additionally, Mickey and Minnie Captain’s Deck will be a fresh jungle gym of sorts for maritime-themed games and activities among pipe slides, crawl-throughs, ship’s wheels, ship control “busy boxes” and life preserver seating. “Minnie’s Captain Academy” will be a series of maritime drills and other STEAM principle (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) challenges, after which Captain Minnie will make them honorary captains.

An expansion for Edge (an area for tweens ages 11 to 14) and Vibe (for teens 14 to 17) will be a third venue, The Hideaway. This area will feature a dance floor and DJ booth, plus activities such as karaoke contests and dance competitions. Situated adjacent to Vibe, the retro-inspired space will be able to open to the teen venue, be closed off for only tweens, or be reserved even for young adults aged 18 to 20.
