When the sun sets on summer, there’s no need to be sad, especially since Halloween is lying in wait. With October lurking around the corner, FreeForm (the Disney-owned television channel previously known as ABC Family) is wasting no time in drumming up excitement for the spooky season. FreeForm will be bringing back its popular “Halloween Road” event for its 4th iteration. There are a few major changes this year, like converting the experience into a walkthrough tour and also charging admission for the event. FreeForm’s Halloween Road is open to the public from Friday, October 1 through Tuesday, October 5. Here are the details for Halloween Road this year…
FreeForm’s Halloween Road
FreeForm’s Halloween Road will take place outdoors at The Heritage Square Museum in Los Angeles. This family-friendly event showcases entertainment from popular Halloween icons such as The Addams Family, Hocus Pocus, and The Nightmare Before Christmas. Something new on the lineup this year is an extended Hocus Pocus drag show (obviously starring the Sanderson Sisters!) that highlights scenes from the cult classic film.

Stroll up to The Addams Family Mansion exhibit and view the frightening oddities found outside of the iconic home and take a picture in Pugsley’s new electric chair. If you’re a fan of The Nightmare Before Christmas, you can take a trip to Halloween Town and peek into Finkelstein’s Lab.
Are you ready for a sugar rush? This year there are way more treats than tricks, as the event will feature twice as many trick-or-treat stations. Your sweet tooth is sure to be satisfied. You can also interact with your favorite characters, including Sarah and Winnie Sanderson, Billy Butcherson, the Ghostbusters, Uncle Fester, Wednesday Addams, and more.
Guests over the age of 21 will have an opportunity to purchase a ticket to the brand new beer and wine garden. In addition to appetizing drinks, guests who purchase the ticket will also have VIP access to the Hocus Pocus drag show.

Popular displays from past Halloween Road hauntings will be returning, such as Halloween Town Hall, Spiral Hill, Oogie Boogie’s Lair and Lock, Shock, and Barrel’s Treehouse from The Nightmare Before Christmas, as well as the Sanderson Sisters’ Cottage from Hocus Pocus, Stay Puft Marshmallow Man and the Ecto-1 from Ghostbusters, and several others.
Tickets to the event will go on sale on September 1st at 10am and start at $37 a person. The Beer and Wine Garden is an additional charge, but the cost has not been released just yet. Purchase your tickets HERE.
