Walt Disney World has announced that as of June 15, Face Coverings will be optional for fully vaccinated guests in most areas. The only time face coverings will be required is on Disney transportation, such as on buses, monorails, and the Disney Skyliner. No proof of vaccination will be required, but guests who are not yet fully vaccinated will still be expected to wear masks (on the honor system).
Additionally, effective immediately, Disney will be rolling back their 6′ physical distancing guidelines. Over the past few weeks we have already seen workers removing the decals from the ground in queues and signage from trash cans.

These changes have been expected for some time now, and Universal and SeaWorld already relaxed their face covering and social distancing requirements last month.
Meanwhile, the state of California removes nearly all restrictions on the 15th as well for vaccinated individuals – However, there has been no word if Disneyland will bring itself in alignment with the Walt Disney World standard. Though, we do find it interesting that Walt Disney World will only be requiring masks on their transportation systems, which is a California mandate and not a Florida one.
Stay tuned, this is a breaking new story and we will update you as soon as we hear more.
