It’s baaaaaaaaack!!!
Last year, Universal Orlando made the difficult decision to cancel Halloween Horror Nights. While there was a limited-time Halloween Horror Lite in 2020, the full-blown scare event is back and better than ever for 2021. According to Universal, a full lineup of haunted houses, scare zones, and live entertainment are in the works… and maybe pizza fries?! Probably, maybe, please?
Halloween Horror Nights are returning for their 30th year and they can’t wait to make us scream. The event will take place on select nights from September 3rd through October 31st, 2021!
And we’ve got the first headliner! It’s time to turn up the juice and see what shakes loose… say his name three times…
We’re in for one twisted and terrifying BEETLEJUICE haunted house! You’ll step into the beloved 1988 film:
- The ghost with the most will torment you through checkerboard hallways and abandon you to the Lost Souls Room.
- He’ll then menace you through the model graveyard and join in the fun at Dante’s Inferno.
- And finally, be a part of the infamous dinner party scene (♫ Day-Oooo ♪) before witnessing Beetlejuice & Lydia’s chaotic wedding.

Additional haunted houses have yet to be announced. However, we can assume another HHN Tribute Store is in the works!
Universal has noted they will continue to monitor the environment and implement enhanced health and safety procedures for HHN’s operation this fall, and more details will be shared closer to the event’s debut.
One thing’s for sure, you’ll want to bring a friend (or foe). As Universal promises “you definitely need someone to cling to, someone to hide behind, somebody to panic with. Because just as in horror films where the first to wander off meets a terrible fate, there’s one thing to remember at Halloween Horror Nights: Never go alone.”
