Online shopping (and window-shopping) for Disney goods is a hobby that I whole-heartedly support – just ask my empty wallet. But, with a seemingly endless variety of options, it can get a little overwhelming to keep track of who has what and when it will be available. So, in order to help my fellow Disney merchandise fans, I compiled this list of some recently released (or soon to-be released) Disney items that I think are worth a look. . .

Highlights from Quantum Mechanix

The highlights from Quantum Mechanix, also known as QMx, cater to those who grew up with the Disney Afternoon block of television shows. All three of the items featured here are from Quantum Mechanix’s Q-Fig series of miniature figures. They aren’t available for purchase just yet (you can sign sign up for the waiting list on each product page) but each one will cost $19.95, sold separately.

The first two are Goliath and Demona from Gargoyles. Goliath looks as though he is just awakening from the day’s stone slumber, roaring with his wings outstretched. Demona, fittingly appears more calm and, dare I say, calculating, but still poised for battle with her claws ready to strike.

Darkwing Duck gets dangerous in the third featured Q-Fig. He watches over the citizens of St. Canard, with his trusty gas gun in hand. If we are playing “6 Degrees of Q-Fig,” you’ll notice that Darkwing here is posing on a gargoyle (albeit a duck-shaped one), tying it to the previous two. Or you could just use the Disney Afternoon connection.

Highlights from Build-a-Bear Workshop

Over at Build-a-Bear Workshop, we’ve seen several new releases recently. Winnie the Pooh makes a return, and this time he’s brought some friends with him. You can choose between  Pooh ($50), Tigger ($37), Piglet ($37), or Eeyore ($37) as an online-exclusive bundle that includes the pre-stuffed plush as well as a 6-in-1 sound box. Pooh Bear’s is more pricey because his bundle as includes a shirt and honey pot accessory as well as the sound box.

Besides Pooh and his buddies, Stitch’s gal pal (no, not Lilo), Angel ($32), makes her debut as an online-exclusive, pre-stuffed plush. The fuzzy, pink alien has a “Stitch & Angel” patch on one hind paw and a Build-a-Bear Workshop logo patch on the other. She measures 12 inches tall.

Angel pairs well with Stitch, who, while not new, is also available. Those planning on adopting a Stitch of their own have two options: a pre-stuffed Stitch with a 6-in-1 sound box ($40) or just the standard Stitch ($32), which you can actually select to be shipped unstuffed and then stuff it yourself at your local Build-a-Bear Workshop. Like Angel, he is 12 inches tall.

Highlights from BoxLunch

Our final stop on this virtual shopping trip takes us to BoxLunch. The first item we’ll look at is this Lilo & Stitch Pudge Cardholder ($16.90). Fans of the film will recall that this special fish controls the weather, according to Lilo, which is why she brings him a a peanut butter sandwich every Thursday. You can see him carrying a mouthful of the snack right on the front of this accessory. The back has a print of Lilo and Stitch swimming with schools of tropical fish.

I know I am not the only kid who grew up playing Lotería and I think its a safe bet that I won’t the only adult excited about this Coco version of the game. Coco Remember Me Lotería ($24.90) takes the classic game and adds art from the movie instead of the typical things, like a rooster, on panels. I may need to pick this one up myself.

10 years later and Tangled is still a visually stunning Disney film. And for me, one of the most charming details was Rapunzel’s art that she painted on her walls. Adding that art to this Tangled Folk Art Throw ($29.90), makes it not only a cozy covering on colder evenings but also a potential decorative feature.
