Taste of Merry Farm, the brightest light of 2020’s holiday celebrations has officially been snuffed out. In an announcement today from Knott’s Berry Farm, all remaining dates for the food festival event has been canceled. Here’s the latest information on what’s closed, and what’s STILL OPEN at Knott’s.
Taste of Merry Farm Canceled
Many are likely disappointed by Knott’s announcement. We thought their Taste of Merry Farm event was the perfect event for these altered times, providing holiday cheer and relatively safe outdoor fun to enjoy with the family. When the Southern California region entered a Safer-At-Home order two weeks ago, the park decided to cancel its Merry Farm events through the duration of the order, up until December 26th. Their hopeful intent was to resume the holiday festivities that were scheduled through the first week of January 2021. Today, in a statement made across Knott’s social media, Knott’s canceled all remaining dates for Taste of Merry Farm:

The park is currently processing refunds for guests with tickets to the event from 12/11 through 1/03. The refund will be returned in the same form of payment used to purchase the tasting cards, and will occur automatically. Knott’s expects that all refunds will be processed by December 26 and posted to your account 5-7 business later.
Knott’s Christmas Crafts Village Now Open
While the cancellation of Taste of Merry Farm is disheartening, there’s still a bit of Christmas cheer to be found at Knott’s. The park is hosting a free craft fair, the Christmas Crafts Village, that features the various artisans from Taste of Merry Farm.

The Christmas Crafts Village is open December 19-23, and again December 26-27 from 11am until 8pm. Though parking and entrance to the craft fair is free, attendance is limited. If you’re looking to find a Christmas gift and want to support a small business, we’d recommend checking out what the crafters have on display! Plus, many of the unique shops within Ghost Town and in the California Marketplace just outside the park are open for business as well.
Additionally, some of Knott’s favorite holiday foods are available for take-out while at the craft village, and that’s reason enough to visit! (Note that no dining is allowed on the property, all food and beverage must be taken off property to consume)

The Camp Snoopy area of the park is decorated for the holidays and open to walk through and admire the holiday atmosphere. While there’s no shopping in the area, it’s a little bit of Christmas charm.
We visited the Christmas Crafts Village’s opening weekend, and you can read more about it in the article below.
Disneyland Resort Update – Holiday Twist and Avengers Surprise
While we were hoping that Knott’s would extend Taste of Merry Farm for a holiday do-over, their decision to close the event down is completely understandable. If you’re curious about what made us fall in love with Christmas at Knott’s this year, take a look at our write-up below.
