After exploding onto Disney+ last year and creating new characters for the Star Wars franchise, “The Mandalorian” has officially become the first Disney+ series to land on Nielsen’s recently-launched streaming top 10 list.

“The Mandalorian” took the number three spot for the week of Oct. 26, with only “The Queen’s Gambit” and “The Office” placing ahead of it in the first two spots. According to Nielsen, the show’s 9 episodes from season one were watched for a total of over 1 billion minutes during that week.

At the time of viewing measurement by Nielsen, the first nine episodes of season one for “The Mandalorian” were estimated to have a little north of 1 billion minutes of streaming. As more episodes become available on Disney+, and with the live-action introduction of fan-favorite Ahsoka Tano and a few story reveals that have created excitement with fans, the series should stay in the Top 10 through the end of November with a bump in viewership minutes.

“The Mandalorian” releases new episodes every Friday on Disney+, with three new episodes remaining in season 2.

Also scoring spots in the top ten list are “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Criminal Minds,” both Disney properties. They’re currently available for streaming on Netflix.

Nielsen’s Top Ten

Nielsen’s ranking is based on the amount of minutes consumers who have access to platforms are streaming during the week. Netflix and Amazon do not release their own detailed streaming numbers and their numbers are based on Nielsen estimates. Nielsen factors in Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu and Disney+ into its top 10 streaming measurements.

It should also be noted that “The Mandalorian” trended throughout the weekend on social media, adding a boost to the show’s overall performance on the streamer.

Here are the top ten ranking series according to Nielsen:

  1. “The Queen’s Gambit” (Netflix) (7 episodes) – 1,850 minutes (millions)
  2. “The Office” (Netflix) (192 episodes) – 1,046 minutes (millions)
  3. “The Mandalorian” (Disney+) (9 episodes) – 1,032 minutes (millions)
