Just when you thought the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) couldn’t cover new ground, “WandaVision,” the new action adventure series from Marvel Studios, premiered its first trailer during the 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards… and it’s wonderfully weird.
“WandaVision,” which stars Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany reprising their roles as Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch and Vision, marks the first series from Marvel Studios that will air exclusively on the Disney+ streaming service.
The show takes place after the events of “Avengers: Endgame,” so it’s unknown how Vision, who was killed in “Avengers: Infinity War,” will be brought back to life. However, Marvel has brought other characters back from the grave, so we’re sure a mind-bending plot device will give fans of the MCU something to cheer about.
There is currently no official date for the series’ premiere. It was originally scheduled to drop in 2021; however, according to a September announcement from Disney, it is expected to debut in December 2020, and will include six episodes. “WandaVision” is the first series in Phase Four of the MCU.
