Our nation has been moved in these last few months by the selfless courage and sacrifice shown by our frontline healthcare workers. Many put their own lives at risk to save others, going to bed at night at a hotel or in their car to protect their own families from harm. As these amazing heroes fight on, Disney employees have created some heartfelt thank you cards to cheer them on. Sometimes the smallest of gestures can have a big impact.
Disney employees were invited to use a special VoluntEARS Thank You Card webpage, where they custom-built each card by selecting from a variety of drop-down menu items.
More than 17,500 customized greeting cards were created, which Disney printed and mailed to healthcare workers at nearly 40 hospitals across the U.S.
There were 16 different designs to choose from, including Aladdin, Black Panther, The Incredibles, Toy Story, Star Wars and others. They then added a Thank You message which they could customize in a font of their choosing.
The cards began going out to hospitals this week.
