How different will the Disney Parks look once the resorts eventually reopen? In order to find an answer that keeps guests and employees safe, surveys are being sent to guests to ascertain what their comfort level with different scenarios would be. Disney World, Disney Parks, Universal Orlando, Universal Hollywood, Six Flags and other theme parks have all sent recent survey requests to those with upcoming reservations, pass holders, and other potential guests.

Let’s take a look at some of these polls and we’ll ask you to answer some of the questions in our own polls so we can see what sort of results the parks are getting back.

Disney Travel Survey

This portion of a poll is trying to determine your general interest in travel and just being willing to do normal things.

Disney World Survey

The Walt Disney World resort has been closed since March 16th, and people have had to push their vacations back or cancel them entirely as the parks remain closed for an indefinite length of time. However, it looks like things are beginning to turn around. Disney announced that the Disney Springs shopping district is planning a phased reopening starting May 20th.

Additionally, at least a few guests with a trip scheduled in the coming months have received surveys about their pending travel plans. The surveys asked what actions the potential guests would be comfortable doing in order to have a pleasant and safe experience at the Disney World parks.

The survey asks to assume a hypothetical situation in which the stay-at-home restrictions were lifted and that travel providers and Central Florida attractions (including WDW) implemented a new set of health and safety measures. The survey gauged the likeliness of keeping or canceling their upcoming hotel reservation, along with their comfort level in various activities.

Universal Orlando Resort

Similarly, Universal Orlando sent out a survey regarding reopening in the midst of the pandemic to pass holders.

Universal Studios Hollywood

Universal Studios Hollywood has also been sending surveys. We have a feeling that different users may be getting different versions of this survey. The one we have screenshots of below asks users to assume a hypothetical December 1st reopening of a park at 50% capacity and at a 50% discount. We don’t expect it to take Universal Studios Hollywood until the end of the year to actually reopen. . . but we love that 50% discount!

Let’s Hear From You

People are really missing the parks, but these surveys do show the risk that both the parks and guests are taking. We wonder how comfortable you be to return to the parks in the next few months, even if the potential for virus spread is still likely? Let us know your thoughts about the questions raised in the polls above, as well as any information you think in the comments below.
