It’s crazy, but we’re back with a third new attraction today from Walt Disney World! The Mickey Shorts Theater opens alongside Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway tomorrow. But we’ve got an early look for you. Here’s everything you need to know . . .
UPDATED! Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Mickey Shorts Theater
The newly reimagined theater is located within the Theater District of Disney’s Hollywood Studios park, right next to the Frozen Sing-Along Celebration. Previously, the Mickey Shorts Theater was home to Star Wars: Path of the Jedi.
An all-new animated short titled Vacation Fun now shows in the theater – celebrating some of Mickey and Minnie’s favorite vacation memories, along with some new adventures. This one-of-a-kind short is exclusive to Disney’s Hollywood Studios park.
Vacation Fun features some of Mickey & Minnie’s favorite Vacation Memories, and the ending has a fun surprise! You are in the Vacation Kingdom of the World, after all…
The theater is lined with red and gold velvet curtains, filled with adorable chairs styled after Mickey’s actual shorts.
The post-show experience includes various stylized photo backdrops, where guests can capture themselves stepping into some of their favorite Mickey Mouse Shorts!
The photo ops are themed around the episodes Panda-monium…
Yodelberg…
Entombed…
and the one, the only… Potatoland!!! You can pose with your very own souvenir potato…

Thoughts on Mickey’s New Theater
We do wish that the Mickey Shorts Theater was a little closer to Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway attraction. But this theater is a fun new addition to the park! It’s a great place to take a quick break, enjoy the air conditioning, and watch some Mickey & Minnie cuteness happen. Mickey Shorts Theater makes a great pre-preshow experience before attending the premiere of “Perfect Picnic” at the Chinese Theater… aka Runaway Railway!
