Valentine’s Day is fast approaching! If you haven’t decided what to do for the holiday, I have some wonderful choices for you at both Downtown Disney at Disneyland and Disney Springs at Disney World. Romance is in the air, and the food is enticing – let’s make like cupid and take a shot at this . . .
Valentines Downtown Disney (Anaheim, CA)
Naples Ristorante e Bar
Starting off our Downtown Disney flavor, you can head on over to Naples Ristorante e Bar and order a “Spritz in Love”. It is available over Valentine’s Day weekend from February 14th through 16th. This bubbly concoction will be offered for $17 and is composed of Malfy con Arancia Rossa, Lillet Rose, prosecco, strawberry puree. It will pair perfectly with any of Naples’ signature pastas, pizza, or decadent desserts.
Catal Restaurant
Catal Restaurant is also having a dedicated Valentine’s Day menu for February 14th and 15th from 5 p.m. to close. This prix fixe menu is available for $85 per person, and an a la carte menu is also available for children 10 and under. Reservations are highly recommended for this particular event. On the menu, you will find starters including Maine Lobster, Beef Tartare, Crab Louie Salad, Risotto, and Tomato Soup.
The entrées include Beef Tenderloin, Chilean Sea Bass, Maple Leaf Duck Breast, Short Rib, and Diver Scallops. The dessert choices are Strawberry Panna Cotta or Chocolate Mousse, which is shown above.
Tortilla Jo’s
Our final dining location in Downtown Disney is Tortilla Jo’s which has this lovely Valentine’s Day cocktail shown above. Available all weekend long from the 14th through 16th is the Raspberry Amor-Tini, which is made with Stoli Raspberry vodka, sweet vermouth, lime juice, simple syrup, and fresh raspberries for $13.95. A three-course Valentine’s Day menu is also available for guests to enjoy. You can choose between “Tlacoyos de Carne Asada” or “Pineapple Glazed Shrimp Salad” for your starter. Your main course can be either “Pan-Seared Pechuga de Pollo” or “Crispy Dorado Filet a la Vercruzana”. The dessert will be a “Chocolate Abuelita Cheesecake” with vanilla ice cream and fresh berries, which sounds absolutely delicious. Reservations for this meal are highly recommended as well.
Disney Springs (Orlando, FL)
Starting off our Disney Springs locations is The Edison, who invites you to swing into a one-of-a-kind celebration. There will be world-class entertainment and a live band while you enjoy your Valentine’s Day meal. The special Valentine’s Day menu includes the “King Cut” Prime Rib with Jumbo Gulf Shrimp for $52, and the limited time DB “Clothesline Chocolate Covered Candied Bacon”.
You’ll be able to wash that down with a “Be Mine” cocktail, made with strawberry gin, lime juice, strawberry lemongrass, watermelon juice, topped with Brut, and garnished with a strawberry in a champagne glass. You can make your reservations here.
Maria & Enzo’s
Valentine’s Day coincides with the annual Carnevale festival, so when you head to Maria & Enzo’s this year you’ll be able to celebrate both. Soak in the sights and sounds of Lake Buena Vista while you dine on imported Italian meats and cheeses, pasta, and more as you drink one of their specialty cocktails. The “February Sunset” is shown above and includes Cointreau, simple syrup, ginger beer, blueberries, oranges, raspberries, and mint for $15. Live entertainment will be there to add to your dinner from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. You can make your reservations here.
Enzo’s Hideaway Tunnel Bar
Celebrate Valentine’s Day quietly tucked away in an intimate speakeasy with a perfect atmosphere for romance. This Valentine’s Day you can enjoy a “Stuffed Baked Maine Lobster for 2”, which is a 2 lb. Maine lobster, jumbo lump blue crab, toasted garlic, safron aioli, wilted baby spinach, lumache pasta, with lobster cream sauce for $42. For dessert, you’ll have the Torta Setteveli, an even layered dark chocolate sponge cake layered with hazelnut mousse, milk chocolate, vanilla cream, and feuilletine chocolate crunch. Vivoli il Gelato
Our final stop in Disney Springs is Vivoli il Gelato, which has a delicious “Love Potion” for you to try this February. It’s a magical concoction of vanilla gelato and Fanta Strawberry, topped with whipped cream and garnished with sprinkles and rock candy. It’s served in a novelty “Be Mine” cup you can see above in the photo. It’s a little love in a cup.
