We’re just one day away from the biggest MiceChat events of the year, MiceChat Anniversary events and Gumball Rally! This year, we’ve got something really exciting lined up for our kickoff event on Friday, February 7: we’re taking over the Bowers Museum theater in Santa Ana for a night of Disney history and Characters! We have an amazing set of panelists to share all sorts of Disney magic with you.
Then on February 8th, we bring you the world-famous Gumball Rally. It’s a race through Disneyland to see who can ride the most attractions in a single day. Information on both events listed below!
AND . . . on Sunday the 9th, we’ll have a MiceChat mega-meetup in the hub of Disneyland at noon, followed by lunch and a group attraction takeover.
A Night of Disney History and Mystery – Feb 7, 2020
We have 3 funtastic panels planned for you at our Bowers Museum evening:
- This spring, the Bowers Museum will launch an exhibit titled “Inside the Walt Disney Archives: 50 Years of Preserving the Magic.” Bowers curators and Walt Disney Archivists will fill you in on some of the spectacular details at this event.
- Then meet the voices of Disney Animation in a panel hosted by ASIFA Hollywood (the producers of the Annie Awards) Vice President, David Derks. David has lined up a fantastic panel featuring the voices of Goofy, Donald Duck, and surprise guests!
- And what better way to follow up the voices of Disney than with the animators who created the characters you love. we’ll wrap up the event with dear friends and beloved Disney creatives Mike & Patty Peraza. Be prepared for a rollercoaster ride, because these two are unpredictable and hysterical together:
Mike Peraza is an award-winning artist who has logged nearly four decades of incredible work in Disney’s creative departments, from Animation to Imagineering. He worked with eight of Walt’s Nine Old Men, as well as with Don Bluth, Tim Burton, George Lucas, Stephen Spielberg, among other heavyweights. Mike was the Art Director on The Little Mermaid, and designed not just DuckTales, but much of the famous “Disney Afternoon” TV animation that fans so fondly remember. Mike is still actively working on Disney projects all over the world and his fine art is displayed and sold in the Disney Parks and cruise ships.
Patty Peraza was hired straight out of Cal Arts by Walt Disney Studios, the first woman to do so. The first female effects animator in Disney history, Patty’s work on the original TRON film was groundbreaking. She also animated Fox and the Hound, Black Cauldron, Mickey’s Christmas Carol, Great Mouse Detective (among others, and had creative projects at both EPCOT Center & Tokyo Disneyland before taking a break to raise two beautiful daughters. Today, Patty’s Disney art is displayed at Disneyana on Main Street USA, and her new pieces are highly coveted by fans and collectors alike.

Tickets are $20 for general admission and a 25% discount on orders of 3 or more tickets (students and educators get $5 tickets with code: STUDENT). Parking for this event is free. Guests will be able to check-in beginning at 6pm. The event will start promptly at 6:30pm.

Gumball Rally 2020 – February 8th, 2020

MiceChat Gumball Rally is a full day adventure through Disneyland Park to see how many attractions you can ride in a single day. Sound easy? It isn’t. However, we are told over and over again that this was the most fun our attendees have ever had in the parks.
Compete in teams of 2, 3, or 4 people.
You don’t have to be a trivia buff, ride warrior, or theme park nerd to play. The game is designed to put everyone on a level playing field. You can play at the speed that you like. Take it easy and play for fun or be in it to win it.
After a full day of riding the attractions of Disneyland Park, we’ll entertain you with a game show and prizes while we await the results. And the winner of the Rally gets this AWESOME trophy inspired by the 50th anniversary of the Matterhorn, Monorail, and Submarine Voyage

MiceChat Sunday Mega-Meetup at Disneyland
Meet us at noon at the Walt and Mickey statue in Disneyland’s central hub for a gathering of Disney fans. We’ll chat about the Rally, geek out about new resort attractions, take a group photo, then we’ll head off to lunch at the Hungry Bear, followed by a group ride and some MiceChat adventures!!!
