Cinderella’s Royal Table is one of the hardest reservations to obtain at Walt Disney World. Is it worth your time? And who is it best for? You might be surprised!
Cinderella’s Royal Table restaurant magically overlooks Fantasyland from inside Cinderella Castle at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. It is popular to go with your little princess after receiving a makeover at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. With descriptions like “Tiaras and glittering gowns are optional, although young Guests are encouraged to dress up for the occasion” and offering options to “Give Her a Fairy Tale to Remember” with princess-themed surprises, it’s not hard to see why.
Given this, it may seem surprising that I’d take my son Johnny here for his 5th birthday. Nonetheless, we knew this would be the perfect place to celebrate. In fact, Johnny loves the princesses at their Meet and Greet locations. Along with this is the realization that you are eating in the very symbol of Magic Kingdom. Indeed, the castle could easily be considered one of the most recognizable symbols of any of the Disney parks, and even the Disney Company overall.
Cinderella’s Royal Table Arrival
The entrance to Cinderella’s Royal Table is at the back of the castle. There are two lines outside. First, is the check-in line where you receive a Royal Invitation for your party. Second, is the line to enter the Grand Hall.
The Grand Hall is a large room complete with armor, high arches, and beautiful stained glass. There is one final line inside. This is where Cinderella welcomes you.

Upon the ringing of the bells, royal guests names are announced. When your name is called, you are escorted up the spiral staircase to the banquet hall. An elevator is available as well.
Cinderella’s Royal Table Breakfast Dining
Breakfast begins with a pastry plate. The delicious fresh pastries include Mickey-shaped blueberry muffins, butter croissants and chocolate croissants.
In addition, orange juice and coffee are provided. Other options are available upon request. Johnny opted for chocolate milk.
We sampled two entrees, the Beef Tenderloin with Egg as well as the Shrimp and Grits.
In all, we were pleasantly surprised by the adult entrees. The tenderloin, although a tad small, was cooked to order and very tender. The egg included was a light, fluffy frittata. The amount of shrimp was substantial enough, topped off with a fried egg and a piece of garlic bread.
Johnny selected the Waffle with bacon and pork sausage. The waffle was a little too crispy and didn’t have much substance. Johnny only ate the bacon, but did have a chocolate croissant and blueberry muffin.
The other breakfast entrees include Caramel Apple-stuffed French Toast, Baked Quiche and Royal Avocado Toast (vegetarian option). Additionally, the Kids entree options include Egg White Frittata, Scrambled Egg, Fruit and Seed Oatmeal, and Assorted Cold Cereals along with two side options of their choice.
You can enjoy an adult beverage when dining at any of the full-service restaurants at Magic Kingdom, and the morning options are nothing short of magical. The Royal Breakfast Flight includes a Mimosa, Bellini and red or white Sangria, which are also offered as separate drinks. This is an add-on to the meal price and is payable at the time of dining.
Cinderella’s Royal Table Lunch and Dinner
Lunch and dinner service is also available. A 3-course meal with appetizers, main course and dessert for adults as well as kids. There is also beverage service including cocktails, champagne, wine and beer.
Dinner is currently $75 per person. You can find the Cinderella’s Royal Table menus HERE
Special Celebrations at Cinderella’s Royal Table
Johnny’s birthday celebration was included in the reservation information. Consequently, he received a special laminated placemat for his birthday. Along with the placemat is a small cupcake for dessert.
Instead of a simple cupcake, we opted to purchase a special dessert instead. Featuring a white chocolate crown filled with chocolate mousse; a chocolate cake with chocolate mousse, covered with chocolate ganache; and a Happy Birthday celebration chocolate castle with an image of Cinderella & Prince Charming dancing on the plate finishes off this decadent dessert. There was certainly enough to share.
Cinderella’s Royal Table Princess Experience
Each princess enters the room with an announcement and is greeted in grand fashion.
The general character rotation starts on the outside circle of the restaurant, with the princesses working their way in towards the center of the room. We found the announcements to be relatively quiet. As a result, we missed two out of four princess announcements. Additionally, the Wishing Star was almost missed. Thankfully, Jasmine came over to help Johnny make his wish.
All in all, we had a very enjoyable experience. Johnny thoroughly enjoyed meeting the princesses and loved his special placemat. He proudly held his sword and wand throughout the day. The price may be steep, but the memories made were priceless!
