Ah, pin trading. A popular hobby for many Disney fans, and a great souvenir option for Disney Parks guests. Whether you sport your collection on a lanyard, top off an outfit with a few of your favorites, or keep them tucked away in a dresser drawer, Disney Pins are one of the most popular Disney souvenirs. With so many to choose from, and new designs continually being released, all parks have at least one dedicated pin location.
With the extreme construction in Epcot‘s fountain plaza area, the old pin location was swept away. Lucky for you pin fans, a new Pin Trading Central has opened at the refreshed Camera Center located underneath Spaceship Earth. Pin Trading is still alive and well in Future World. Let’s take a look at this new location:
Updated Pin Trading Central
The new store is divided up into two sections – Pin Traders offers limited edition and open edition pins, along with pin trading accessories. A pin board can often be found, and a few lanyard-wielding Cast Members are ready to trade!
The Camera Center side has evolved with the times – no more batteries and Kodak film… Instead, you’ll find information on Disney’s Memory Maker, Photopass and some 2020 merchandise.
The Original Pin Trading Central
Though the new space is better equipped for Epcot crowds and pin traders alike, this is a bittersweet time, since the original Future World location was home to Pin Trading Central for many years and impossible to miss as you entered the park.
Today, the Pin Trading Central sign still remains, along with a “How to Pin Trade” sign inside. But all that can be found are hats, glow toys and bubble wands.
This shop’s days are numbered though, as the complete transformation of Future World continues…
