Forget building a droid, I want to build a Porg . . . lucky for me, Build-A-Bear Workshop has heard my pleas and granted that request. The bird-like alien isn’t alone either (before you ask, no, there is no Baby Yoda . . . yet!). The fellow is joined by an Ewok (online-exclusive) and a D-O mini-plush as well as some returning favorites

Porgs are Friends, not Food

Build-a-Bear Workshop’s Porg is a big deal for several reasons. The first being that this plush has plastic safety eyes rather than the typical embroidered ones. And secondly, this is actually the company’s second take on the species. The first was a mini-plush that was released when the cuddly creature was first introduced in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. This Porg, however, is a full-size plush, meaning you can stuff it at a Build-A-Bear store and dress it up with clothing and accessories.

Build-a-Bear, Porgs, Ewoks, and Build-A-Bear . . . Oh My!

Now for the nitty-gritty. The Porg costs $29 and measures 12 inches in height. This is slightly smaller than a good portion of the other plushes. The Ewok, for example, is 15 inches tall. Speaking of…

Endor’s Favorite Son, the Ewok

As mentioned previously, the Ewok can only be purchased online. But that shouldn’t stop you from giving the bear-like critter a chance. Collectors will notice that the Ewok’s downy hair looks similar to that of the previously-released Chewbacca. Another fun detail is the Star Wars logo the bottom of its left foot (the right one has the Build-a-Bear Workshop logo).

The Ewok costs $32. It cannot be purchased unstuffed.

Other Build-A-Bear Star Wars Plush

The Porg and Ewok are newcomers to the Star Wars collection at Build-A-Bear. There are lots of other options, including Darth Vader, Rey, Chewbacca and more!

See Them in Action!

We took Porg, Chewbacca, and Darth Vader Bear (courtesy of Build-a-Bear Workshop) to visit their natural habitat, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge! Here’s a look at the shenanigans the trio got into.
