The Disney Backstage Collection is a subscription box curated with Disney history buffs and collectors in mind. Each month means a different canister with a new theme. The concept sounds familiar but here’s the twist: you don’t know which theme will come next! We do, however, have a few clues as to what the options are thanks to the packaging! New subscribers are told outright thattheir first shipment’s theme will be a throwback to days that predate Mickey Mouse, the Disney Brothers Studio. Inside, you will find a t-shirt with exclusive Disney artwork, a highly-collectible pin, and a story-card all packaged in the retro-inspired keepsake canister. The Welcome Canister has a new version that releases every 6 months.

For the Disney Backstage Collection, the designers searched the Disney vault and worked with Imagineers to find “unique artistic assets” for each canister. Every month, the collection will feature things like unused concept art or even special untold backstories. If you like to learn about Disney history, then this is right up your alley!
What do the canisters contain? Well, that changes on a month-to-month basis. There’s no guarantee you’ll get the same assortment of items every time.
There are several subscription options available that will suit any collector’s taste and delivery schedule. You can choose to receive a canister every month for a year ($34.99 per delivery), 6 consecutive months ($37.99 per delivery), or 3 consecutive months ($39.99 per delivery.
