YODEL-AY-EE-OOOO. As we’ve mentioned in our Monday Disneyland Updates, guests visiting Disneyland will not be able to ride the Matterhorn Bobsleds on weekdays for the rest of October.

The 60-year old attraction has two scheduled closures, the first from October 21 to 25 and the second from October 28 to November 1. We presume that the purpose is to fix the damaged facade from an incident this summer.

The ride has had a scrim up since August to hide the damage.

It was this past August when the Matterhorn’s facade collapsed and a large chunk fell from the rock face. As a result, the Tomorrowland-side of the attraction was closed and has remained closed since the incident. With only one track operating, wait times for the Matterhorn are even longer than normal at present. Hopefully, after November 1, the attraction will be back to normal operating procedure and both sides will be open.
