It was only last week when the first signs of holiday merchandise started to appear at the Disneyland Resort. But the majority of the new items have sprung up overnight and Disney elves were busy because there’s a lot of new items to look at and purchase. Let’s take a look at what’s in store for this holiday season.
Holiday Apparel and Styles
This sweet Spirit Jersey is something really special. The majority of this Jersey is covered in a pattern that pays homage to the many holiday snacks found around the Resort. The lettering resembles a sugar cookie covered with icing and multicolored sprinkles. The back reads “Disneyland Resort.”
There are plenty of other long sleeve options, too.
You’ll find the classic Ugly Sweater in a couple of different styles. And both light up!
This raglan’s design is from this year’s Yuletide Farmhouse Collection.
There are also quite a few short sleeve shirts as well (it is Southern California, after all).
I am getting sleepy just looking at all these PJs. Here we see this snack-y flannel pajama set for adults along with hooded, full-body pajamas for the whole family.
In addition to the full-body pajamas, kids also get several additional PJs and some themed shirts.
Holiday Accessories
Two new Loungefly mini backpacks were also added for the holidays. The Santa Mickey one has a real metal buckle on the front, a fuzzy beard, a snowflake pattern (with hidden Mickeys, of course) lining the inside.
The second Loungefly mini backpack would go great with the snack-inspired Spirit Jersey we saw earlier. Both share the tasty, treat-filled pattern.
This Mickey Peppermint Candy purse is a smaller alternative if you don’t want to carry around a backpack.
There are plenty of seasonal ears this year. Beyond the Santa cap with Mickey ears (which sports a flannel pattern this year – nice!), there are also four different ear headbands to choose from.
This red and green “hair accessory” lights up!
If you want to do something festive without the hassle of wearing an Ear Headband, you can pull your hair back with these holiday-themed hairbands.
Because it is currently sweltering in Anaheim right now, it makes sense that the holiday line includes Crocs. Although, they are lined with fleece, so I would probably wait to wear these until it cools down a little bit.
But when the AC kicks in, you may want these slippers.
Toys, Trains and Plushes
Plushes a-plenty. These stuffed toys of Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, and Chip and Dale (the pair are sold as a set) utilize the Yuletide Farmhouse Collection art style. I just want to hug them all!
In addition to the character plushes, there are also scented ones of a Mickey Gingerbread Man and Mickey Peppermint Candy.
The Disney Parks Christmas Train Set returns for another year as well.
Holiday Home Goods and Ornaments
You can get all nice and comfy-cozy with this fleece throw.
Who remembers “Mickey’s Nutcracker Christmas?” These may not be as good as that show (hey, those are big shoes to fill) but they are still pretty cool.
The buffalo check ribbon looks great on this felt wreath.
We also spotted two new ornaments. I really love the pompom one.
The body of this Snowman tumbler lights up.
Sugar, Sweets and Stocking Stuffers
I think this is Disney’s way of making visions of Sugar Plums dance in our heads. Just look at all these sweets!
Admit it, you always need socks.
This large reusable bag says “Happy Holidays!” on the back.
There is so much festive Disneyland holiday merchandise available and I absolutely love this year’s rustic motif. What do you think? Do you plan on purchasing any? Let us know in the comments!
