When you see Disney fans lined up at 5am, you know something big is happening. This time around it was for a new collectible Hatbox Ghost tiki mug. Last year’s version of the mug had the Hatbox Ghost with his head firmly on this shoulders, this time around his head is in the box!
Sales began at 7am at the Disneyland Hotel and lines were long. Although, by 9:30am wait times had dropped to about 15 minutes.
But if it is more Hatbox Ghost goods you are after, the Disneyland Hotel’s Fantasia Shop sold an open edition ornament ($24.99) and a limited edition pin ($17.99) in the mug’s likeness.
Can’t make it to Disneyland today? You’re in luck, tomorrow at Trader Sam’s at the Disneyland Hotel guests will be able to purchase a special Hatbox Ghost-themed cocktail called Grim Grinning Grog (a non-alcoholic option also available) containing coconut rum, spiced rum, pineapple juice, red passion fruit syrup, and blue curacao. Buy the drink and you will have the option to purchase the Hatbox Ghost tiki mug.
