Did someone say, “Jurassic Park rollercoaster?” More on that later…

Marvel Super Hero Island

Hulk has been running smoothly lately, but the entrance with the metal detectors is still a little off-putting. I’ve ridden coasters that are more extreme but I didn’t have to empty all of my pockets.

Squad Goals.

The details in Marvel Super Hero Island are plentiful. Just make sure to stop and take in all of the references.

There were Deadpool and Captain Marvel plushes at the carnival games near Marvel Super Hero Island. Very interesting given that those two characters will play heavily into Disney’s Phase 4 and 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Toon Lagoon

Sweet Haven is under a complete refurbishment. Anyone know if this is just standard maintenance or is something else happening?

I’m strong to the finish, ’cause I eats me Spinach, I’m Popeye the sailor man!

If you’re looking to get wet, then Ripsaw Falls is the place to go.

Skull Island: Reign of Kong is still drawing long lines. When’s the last time you visited with King Kong?

Jurassic Park

Over in Jurassic Park, things are looking perfectly normal.

Right?

Everything seems to be in order, so let’s keep moving.

, Dateline Universal Orlando: A Tale of Bees and Dinosaurs

Ah, there it is. When you turn the corner past Camp Jurassic, you are welcomed by familiar construction walls.

The rumored name for this attraction is the Velocicoaster, and it doesn’t seem like this will be a family coaster.

Are you looking forward to the new Jurassic project?

, Dateline Universal Orlando: A Tale of Bees and Dinosaurs
The track is reportedly built for a fast and intense ride, and to be honest, it’s nice to see Universal going after the thrill seekers.
, Dateline Universal Orlando: A Tale of Bees and Dinosaurs
For now, the view isn’t great, but we can’t wait to see what they develop here!

New T-Rex Encounter!

, Dateline Universal Orlando: A Tale of Bees and Dinosaurs

They had some performers out for a ‘T-Rex Encounter’…

, Dateline Universal Orlando: A Tale of Bees and Dinosaurs
Yup, this is the T-Rex. Menacing, indeed.

…which was pretty hilarious.

The carnival games seem to have found a new home right before the Discovery Center.

I think it’s very inventive to include Ghostbusters in Horror Nights. If you want to see some of the Halloween scares, check them out here!

This old path down to the Discovery Center is a dead-end and is only being used by employees and construction workers.

Hogsmeade

At the back of the Hog’s Head Taverne and Three Broomsticks, you can get another glimpse of the construction work.

That said, almost every table outside has a nice wall blocking that view.

Hagrid and the Bees!

, Dateline Universal Orlando: A Tale of Bees and Dinosaurs

Hagrid’s has had its fair share of trouble lately, and surprisingly, it isn’t the ride system giving those issues this time around.

, Dateline Universal Orlando: A Tale of Bees and Dinosaurs

, Dateline Universal Orlando: A Tale of Bees and Dinosaurs

There have been some major bee issues along the ride track. . .  swarms of them!

, Dateline Universal Orlando: A Tale of Bees and Dinosaurs

Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure remains operational as Universal combats the pest control issue the best they can. Now, if they could only fix the single rider problem. . . before being able to join the single rider queue, you have to wait in the regular line. At some point, just before you get to the indoor portion of the queue, an employee may direct you to the single rider line. But that can be an hour or more of waiting in standby before ever getting the chance to then switch to the single rider.
