ACE White Lightning 10k

You don’t often hear the story of a roller coaster and theme park nerd winning a 10K or any type of marathon. But the ACE-Fun Spot Orlando White Lightning 10K is not your average 10K marathon.

Contestants do not run during this marathon. Instead, their stamina is tested through their ability to ride a coaster as it makes its distance is measured to the 10k mark. One ride on White Lightning is 620 meters, and in order to hit the 10k mark, contestants have to take 16 trips on the coaster within a 5-hour span.

The 10k Fun Spot Orlando marathon attracted more than 30 local ACE members from the Central Florida Region. Dinner, social time and more than four hours of extended ride time were part of the fun evening.

In between rides on the White Lightning roller coaster, ACE members socialized, swapped stories of their favorite coasters and got to know each other.
