In the Star Wars universe, clothing is important because it denotes what side you’re aligned with or where you’re from. The apparel shops at Black Spire Outpost allows visitors to display their allegiance through clothes, or gives them the opportunity to dress like natives or tourists (depending on who’s asking). Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is divided into three distinct zones, each of which contains clothing suited to its sector.

But beware, although sold in Galaxy’s Edge, not everything is allowed to be worn in the new Star Wars land.

Let’s start on the light side of the force . . .

Resistance Supply

If you’re looking to fight against the First Order, then you’ve better look the part. Here you can find various Resistance-themed merchandise distributed between two outdoor merchandise carts, the only items currently for sale on this end of the land.

For a planet that’s never heard of Disneyland, these merch carts sure look familiar…

There are lots of items that are perfectly suited for support for the Resistance, such as bags, jackets and flags.

For those looking for something more subtle, there are also really neat pins and patches available. This is also the only place that sells Resistance T-shirts

Black Spire Outfitters

While the Resistance Supply and First Order Cargo are on warring sides, Black Spire Outfitters is neutral ground. Located within the Market, it is filled with Batuu-style apparel.

Here, you can purchase robes, not unlike those of the Jedi or Sith. While these items are on the pricier side, they are also fairly high quality, so keep that in mind when you take a look at the tags.

Keep in mind that Disney’s costume policy remains in effect, even for items purchased within the land. In order to comply, you can only wear things that reach to your knees; long robes and capes are not allowed. However, we have seen fairly loose enforcement of these rules, as many people have gotten past through security while in full-length Jedi robes. Meanwhile, Universal Studios has safely had long Wizarding robes for years with no incidents that we’ve heard of. Hopefully, Disney will look at their policies for possible changes, but they should be more consistent across the board.

Jewels of Bith

This is another shop found in the Marketplace. This one is much smaller compared to the Outfitters. It is reminiscent of a tourist trap, filled with shirts and souvenirs that are perfect to bring home after a vacation to a faraway place.

Out of all the T-shirts in the land, the ones from here appeal to me the most. Something about the simplicity of the art makes me more engaged to wear it regularly, especially compared to some of the other over-the-top merch sold around the area.

The pins here are more generalized to the land itself, as opposed to either the Resistance or the First Order.

You can’t leave Star Wars land without grabbing a pin or Ba-Two (sorry had to get it out of my system).

In true tourist style, you can even take home some postcards, a cap, and a tote!

See anything you like so far?

And on the far side of town from the Resistance is . . .

First Order Cargo

Do you have a dark side? Maybe a touch power hungry? Then you might be a perfect candidate for the First Order, and this is your one-stop-shop for everything you need . . . mainly because it’s your only shop in the area. This is the virtual antithesis to the Resistance Supply and boasts much more space than its two merch carts.

Here, you can find a wide array of various First Order themed merchandise. Shirts, weapons, pins, binoculars, and, um . . . handcuffs. What theme park doesn’t have its own collectible restraints, am I right?!

Here are a couple of pins that stood out to us.

There are also the Hasbro Black Series toys here, which include action figures from the movies.

Just like with the Resistance Supply, this is the only place where you can purchase First Order T-shirts.

There is also some authentic-looking First Order attire with hats and jackets.

With all of the apparel to choose from, does anything, in particular, stand out to you? What do you think about Disney selling clothes that people aren’t allowed to wear in the park? What about inconsistent enforcement of their costume policies? Let us know in the comments. Now . . . about those handcuffs . . .
