We recently took you on a tour around Disneyland and Disney California Adventure to showcase merchandise that we thought would be worth your while. This one is for the Disney shopaholics . . . so, if you aren’t ready to shop till you drop, we suggest checking out yesterday’s Disneyland Update.
This time, we are thinking outside the box, which today means outside the parks . . to the shops of the Disneyland Resort’s three hotels.
Disneyland Hotel Merchandise
The Disneyland Hotel was the first hotel built on the property, so its the perfect place for us to begin! We made our way to Disney’s Fantasia Shop to see if anything would catch our eye.
Among the stores in the trio of hotels, the Fantasia Shop’s theming can’t be beat. Look above the merchandise displays and you may find Sorcerer Mickey commanding those mischievous brooms or maybe even some gators staring back at you!
As the Disneyland Hotel is the oldest, it makes sense that that art on its exclusive merchandise has a retro vibe, with Mickey and Minnie wearing outfits that would fit right in during Dapper Day. These aren’t new–but we really enjoy this collection. You’ll find various clothing items with this art style.
Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar is the hotel’s tropical watering hole and inside this shop, you can find a button-up shirt and dress featuring a pattern decorated with a variety of the specialty drinks Trader Sam’s has to offer.
Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel
Located inside the lobby of Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel you’ll find Mickey in Paradise.
Like the Disneyland Hotel, the Paradise Pier Hotel also has exclusive merchandise. However, the number of items is substantially less. How much less? Currently, there are exactly two items: a keychain and identical magnet with a surfing Stitch. There was, at one point, a matching pin and tumbler, but they are both currently sold out.
You can catch a glimpse of what the tumbler looked like by checking out the window displays on the side of the store. The cups are still in there.
The displays, while not as grand as Disneyland Hotel’s, are still nice and fit the hotel well.
Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and Spa
Nestled in the far end of the lobby in Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and Spa, Acorns, Gifts and Goods does indeed have many goods and gifts to offer (no acorns, though).
Upscale apparel abounds, all with the Grand Californian’s name and occasionally its logo.
We love these pieces that reflect the hotel’s grand main doors.
They don’t call it a “spa” for nothing! The soft robes available in the rooms can now be yours. And those H2O Plus bath products that everyone loves are sold here as well.
Who can hear “acorns” without thinking of these two silly chipmunks? Chip and Dale star in this adorable nightshirt. Plushes of the pair in a variety of styles are also sold here.

Oh My Disney Swim Collection
If the winter weather is giving you the blues, the Oh My Disney Swim Collection, available now at Disney Stores and shopDisney, will have you dreaming of fun in the sun. Perfect timing, now that it’s warming up (in California at least)! Featuring a genie lamp emblazoned on the side along with a gradient color and glitter accents, these large cat-eye browbar-style sunglasses are just the right mix of function, fashion, and Disney. Would you rock a pair?
The Lion King
Spirit Jersey for Adults (MSRP $49.95)
The Spirit Jersey craze continues, this time with a Lion King variant. The sunset color scheme along with the adorable visuals on the front and “Pride Lands – since 1994” on the back make this one stand out.
Slides for Adults (MSRP $22.95)
These slip-on sandals bear Simba on the right foot and Scar on the left, with the words “King of the Jungle” repeated on the soles. With a cushioned upper sole, they’ll help you move from the pool or beach to your lounge chair with all the style and grace befitting royalty.
Cover-up for Women (MSRP $42.95)
You don’t have to be making the Morning Report to appreciate this women’s cover-up. The pattern stars everyone’s favorite Hornbill, Zazu. The garment is not only lightweight but also provides a flowing fit, thanks to its kimono-style cut.
Trunks for Men (MSRP $42.95)
Zazu is joined by the rest of The Lion King’s cast on the men’s trunks. This piece of swimwear has side pockets, a full lining, and hey – anything that has Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed on it automatically earns a gold star in my book.
Mickey Mouse
Novelty Adult Towel (MSRP $19.95)
If you get wet, you’re going to need a towel, right? And this one here with a classic Mickey Mouse design is a nifty (and old-school) way to show your Disney fandom.
Disco Ball Tumbler with Straw (MSRP $16.95)
You may have seen this tumbler making its way through the shops at several Disney Parks. Well, it turns out you won’t need to pay admission to snag one for yourself. It even comes with its own swirly straw!
Waterproof Phone Holder (MSRP $12.95)
We have all had that nightmare (some may have even lived it) of dropping our smartphone into the pool. Thankfully, Disney comes to the rescue with this waterproof phone holder. It has Mickey, one of his many memorable catchphrases (“Oh Boy!”), and a darling little mouse-head silhouette charm on the lanyard.
